Doonsy

Leo was born in a peasant village on the outskirts of Kaedrin, lived a very normal life and when 16 left for a knight school. While he was at the knight school he did average, and paid almost no care to his studies. He ended up dropping out of the school and becoming an explorer. He traveled many miles, and saw many things. He also made a few friends on the road. One of them was Noden, he looked at Leo differently than all the others had. Leo looked like a suit of armor to most, but Noden saw a person behind the helmet. Leo preferred to adventure alone, but Noden insisted on joining him. Noden ended up saving Leo from a near death experience and made him realize that a partner was probably better than going alone. Leo was the stoic, silent knight and Noden was a boisterous, agile ranger. The pair traveled even further than Leo had by himself. They had come a very competent pair, able to tackle difficult tasks and come out on top. They had reached a stopping point. Leo insisted that he head back to check in on his family, which he had not seen in many years. Noden did’t argue, for he was raised in an orphanage and had no family to return to. After many weeks they had finally reached their destination. Leo finds out that his family is completely gone, no trace of them. The cottage that they had once lived in which was currently occupied by others. He asked and the man said “He have been here since my father’s father, what do you mean who used to live here?” Leo thought maybe they had been taken by the government, for he learned of the great corruption that it possessed on his many travels. He went around and around, asking people but nobody knew of his family, they only knew of him. Noden had gotten a room at the Inn, afterwards he found Leo in a state of silence standing in front of his old residence. Noden had told him that he got the room, and that they should return there for some drinks before sundown. Leo stood, not moving and Noden knew something had happened, so he just turned and walked back to the Inn. Leo followed shortly behind, following Noden back to the Inn room. As Noden drinks in the lower part of the Inn, Leo thinks to himself where his family could possibly be. Leo then heads to the monastary located just outside of the town. The next day Leo returns to the Inn to find a guard standing outside of it. He approaches him, and he stops him saying "No entry, there is a crime scene currently under investigation." Leo then slams the guards head into the wall, instantly knocking him out cold. He then heads upstairs to the room that Noden had rented and finds a body lying face down on the bed opposite of where Leo had sat the night before. He turns the body over and sees his eyes have turned black and that his face was frozen, not able to move. Witchery, Noden must have messed with the wrong person in the Inn that night, and it had cost him his life. The only time that Leo had left his side is when he was attacked. Leo had thought about magic as impure, and a cowards way to live and fight. He will always have a deep hatred for magic users, no matter who. He remembers the Voidal tear in Kovassa, that it may have been brought upon they by the atrocities of magic.
