    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Metagaming is basically acting like a character inside minecraft about a character who exists outside of minecraft. IE i act like Sauron in minecraft but Sauron actually exists in LOTR
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Powergaming is basically everyone moving in 1 direction within the game. Everyone is trying to accomplish a specific idea and mindset in basis.

Magnus was born in Erebor long before the dragon (Smaug) came to take his homeland. He loved his people but his greed and his lust for treasure and gold was too great and so he set off at a young age to find his fortune and way in the world. He was shunned by his people for his greedy and harsh manner and he lived a life of solitude which ended up giving him his gruff appearance and harsh manner. He never loved anyone and no one ever seemed to love him. He was only focused on gold and gold alone. His obsession with gold led him down dark paths to which many would have given up. He ended up surviving many a trial but he was far from unscathed. When he heard about the dwarves reclaiming Erebor, he rushed to their side, and helped fight off the Pale Orc (Who wasn't in the book..... thanks for ruining it Disney). In the end he was a mighty warrior and he hopes to go down in history for his valiant efforts against the powers of evil.

Physical Description: Magnus is a sort, gruff dwarf who loves to degrade and belittle others. He can be compared to Scrooge. He loves Gold too! :D
Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
