Marcus Dejeru was born on a small island called Stalon, where he lived in the village of belnamulita. The village had been an important trade route between two minor kingdoms and had acted as a buffer zone between them. One year, a major disagreement concerning trade rights of merchant ships had caused the two kingdoms to go to war. Since Marcus’ village was between the two kingdom, they kept destroying the village year after year until the war ended. Marcus grew up in backwater, which was a shell of what it once was. It was ruled by bandits and insane warlords. His family was killed by bandits burning down his house, they decided to let him live and was kidnapped and brought to a foreign land as a slave, where he was forced into some king’s army. During his service, he endured many struggles during long winters and fought in many great battles. But after many years, he grew tired of everything and deserted. After deserting the army, he went to his original village, but to his dismay, they told the bounty hunters that were looking for him where he was for a reward. They transported him into a ship headed back to where the army was encampmented for the winter. He eventually jumped off the ship to try to kill himself, but the tides brought him back to the atlas shores. He was passed out on the beach, when he eventually woke up two days later. After that, he began to wander around the land, seeking something new and interesting.
