    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Metagaming, or just simply meta, is taking information that I have acquired whilst out of character and them applying it to my character once I step back into the role.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is forcing something that cannot happen to happen either with yourself or to another character. The intent is usually maniacal in nature and should not be attempted in the first place.

Raven jumps a bit as they did not expect to be greeted in such a way. They wait a bit before responding. After catching their breath, they begin to explain, without giving much detail, why they've arrived.

"Hello, good sir. I am merely passing through whilst on my way home. Nothing of interest really. But, while you're here, can you point me to the nearest food vendor? My supply is getting quite low."

"Well, of course I can!" He says with excitement. Pointing in a few directions, and giving some simple directions, the nice gentlemen told me the name of the shop and how to get there. "You should be all set then. Good luck on your journey..."

He was looking for a way to address me, "Mx. Moonscape. Although, since you are very kind, you may call me Raven."

"Splendid. Well, good luck to you, Raven, on your magnificent journey. I hope you find it relaxing and not too dangerous." After saying this he walks away. 

"Thank you, sir!" I call, but it seems he didn't hear me. 

Oh well, it's time to restock my food supply. Onward I go to the shop given to me by the nice man. Let's hope his wish about the safe and relaxing journey holds true.

Your application has unfortunately been denied at this time due to multiple reasons, though here are the changes that would need to be made: 

 

  • Your Character Biography is written in first person! Please make sure to write in third person while talking about your character!
  • Your Character Biography states that your character knows magic, or more specifically, Water Evocation. Your character can not have any knowledge of magic upon first joining the server, as magic must be taught to your character by another player through roleplay.
  • Your Physical Description states that your character has olive hair. This is not a hair color that Wood Elves could have! For more information, take a look at the wiki page on wood elves!
  • Your Roleplay Scenario Response must be written from only the perspective of your own character! Do not control the actions of the man who greets them, simply respond to their first words!
  • Your Roleplay Scenario Response jumps between being written in third person in the first sentence, and first person in the last! Your character actions must be written fully in third person!
  • Your Skin is too reliant on noise shading! Please try to smooth it out!
  • Your Skin is not up to LotC standards. Please take a look at our Skin Archive for references and free skins that you may use if you’d like.
