    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: You can avoid power gaming in roleplay by realizing the limits of your characters and not forcing roleplays onto people that they don't want to do.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Metagaming disrupts fair roleplay by breaking realism and giving the user an unfair advantage with knowledge. For example, if you are doing a medical RP set place in the 15th century and someone uses modern medical knowledge that would be very unfair.

Roleplay Scenario:

You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
