Logan was born in a small farming village and was raised to be a farmer, however the village was destroyed by a large clan of savage orcs. He was not reclusive before his village was destroyed, however he believed himself to be the reason his village was destroyed. Because of this, he is a very reclusive man and believes he would endanger any of those he got anywhere close to.
After he fled his village he began to study wizardry to prevent such tragedies again, and made himself strong enough to at least protect himself.

They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
