    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Metagaming is when you secretly communicate with other players to give your characters more information than they should know.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: When you force actions in roleplay against people. An example can be seen with "Hank cuts off John's finger" when it should be "Hank attempts to cut off John's finger."

          Born with a high elf mother--Alas--and a dark elf father--Lorsan--Mystica was born of mixed blood near the city of Sutica. Lorsan was a captain of a ship and Alas was a secretly a sorceress travelling throughout the lands. As their love deeped, they had attempts to make a child. It took awhile due to the elven curse, but after thirteen years of trying Alas gave birth to Mystica. They sailed off towards the west in attempts to start a new family life in the seas. They found an island, and proceeded to make a town. But something dark was lingering, one of Lorsan’s crewmates--Arel--felt it. The crew began to hear voices, feel burns, and still experienced starvation even after eating. 

          Within ten days, they began to build shrines to an unknown deity whose name has only been spoken by the voices, Xakilt. In his battered state after gardening, Arel stumbled upon the captain’s house and saw through the window of Alas wielding amber. Connecting the dots did Arel attempted to tell his friends that they were being bewitched. However, they turned on him, their minds nearly riddled with madness. The only person Arel can save, was Lorsan’s child. After running off towards the forest did he hesitantly returned a few days later; everyone was already gathered around a shrine. Entering the home did he took Mystica from her crib and a journal he noticed in Alas’ chambers. Stealing some food and an escape boat from the ship, they sailed back to the mainland. The journal revealed that the woman Lorsan loved never existed. She was once an illusionist who was infected by a shade and surrendered to her dark personality. 

         Arel moved to his home of Curion, raising Mystica while ignoring the jeers of his fellow humans. From his past of fighting pirates with Lorsan did he teach her how to use a sword. And with his memories of his childhood did he teach her how to read and write. They were a happy family for nine years until a rogue group of dwarves invaded the city. And with her own eyes did Mystica watch them slaughtered her step-father without mercy. Ever since then she traveled Arcas alone, lost to the world until she came to Sutica thirteen years later.

Character Age: 20
Physical Description: Mystica has twilight hued hair, skin black as night, hidden pointed ears, purple eyes, and a lean body.
Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”

  • Your bio says you traveled to Arcas and then to Sutica thirteen years later. Arcas has not been the map for thirteen years RPly, so this must be changed. 
  • Your character description does not reflect what your character’s race would look like. Please update this, I will provide a link to both High elves and Dark Elves. High Elves Dark Elves
  • Your interesting fact about wanting to learn magic must be changed as well. When you just start your character can have no knowledge of magic. They must learn about it through roleplay in game. 
  • Along with the 2nd point, this skin does not reflect what your character’s race would look like. Please update this as well.
