    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: The playing of metagames. Metagaming is any strategy, action or method used in a game which transcends a prescribed ruleset, uses external factors to affect the game, or goes beyond the supposed limits or environment set by the game. Another definition refers to the game universe outside of the game itself.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Powergaming is the the act of using an in-game mechanic, any external information, or a roleplay concept to favor their own character or story, and give them an unfair or unrealistic advantage. Powergaming can take several forms, but it is generally rooted in “playing to win” or a focus on playing the game, instead of honoring the creative roleplay
