    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Its like doing/saying something without care nor thinking.

A normal boy who lived in a village was attacked by orcs and was knocked out.... As he woke up he was at a cathedral with ancient letters and tons of protection altars as if someone brought him there and saved him pfft wouldn't happen... After 10 minutes of being conscious someone opened the door and the boy standed up while guarding himself as the man drops his weapons to show he wont harm him in any way he drops hes guard... After 2 minutes staring at each other the man asks what the boys name was and the boy realized he forgot he's name and while thinking at it he forgot all he's memories the man says he should stop worrying or you will get a head ache he said he's name was Jade and told him you were found at a village in the coral peaks and was attacked by orcs he's parents were killed while thinking i need to get stronger! Jade realized he couldn't do it alone and named the boy ItzJust4Funz.... 4 years later the day ItzJust4Funz turned 18 [Jade saw a birth date randomly on he's shoulder 4 years ago] and went to adventure the Serpent Woods he explored 18 hours a day after 6 months of exploring in the serpent woods he saw a cave with a sparkling rune he contacted Jade with a bird and said i found a rune with a S and 2 Stripes on it 1 week later Jade sended a message back and told him that he found a national treasure as ItzJust4Funz was curious what it does he went closer to the rune and felt a chilling cold but on the other hand a clean warmth as he came closer it felt like it was fighting among itself when he tried touching it he's finger got bruised but then the chilling cold healed it as ItzJust4Funz grabbed it. It absorbed ItzJust4Funz he transformed!? 10 minutes later dark air was surrounding him and he grabbed a mirror and he became a halfling as he was curious how this happend he realized he grabbed the rune the rune planted into ItzJust4Funz's stomache and as he tried fighting a orc he realized he's strength was weakened but it felt like he will become stronger very quick... And so begins ItzJust4Funz's adventure.

Character Age: 19
Physical Description: A human adventurer roaming around when he suddenly sees a sparkling rune.... he picked it up and suddenly transformed into a halfling!?
Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”

If this one doesnt make it ill gladly make a new one i had fun when i made it xD. Why i said it so early is because i re read it like twice and posted it and read it once again and thought i messed up with character description facts etc

Hello there,

I am afraid that there are some edits that you need to make on your application. Due to your application being made and submitted before you made a forum account, I have to automatically deny your application. However, I have listed down the edits that you need to make on your application below so that you can make the required changes for your next application.

 

Edits required:

  • Definitions: You need to explain powergaming and metagaming. I suggest  using an example of powergaming and metagaming  with the explaination also through the use of a roleplay scenario so that I know you understand these definitions clearly, along with an explanation of how it doesn't benefit RP.
  • Character Name: Your username is not a vaild name for your character, please choose a more suitable name for your character which fits their race. There are many online name generators that you can use to get a unique name. I highly, highly doubt Jade would call your character an extremely weird name that includes a number in it.
  • Biography:
    • I highly recommend you do not use the 'village was attacked by orcs' scenario, as many applications in the past have used this scenario and it has become extremely cliche on the server, therefore think of a different scenario for your character.
    • Your character cannot have or be influenced by any form of magic - meaning you cannot have your character starting off with using magic, radiating a magical aura, or being majorly influenced by magic. Furthermore, there is no form of runes that can change your character's race, meaning your character must stick to the race that they were born as.
    • There are many plotholes with your character's biography - there is no explaination as to what happened to his family, how he lost his memories, where he was born, how he aquired his combat skills, and so forth.  Furthermore, why is his birthday marked on his body? That to me just seems to be written in just so the character knows his birthday. Please fix the biography so that it makes sense and goes in depth regarding how your character grew up, what they learnt in terms of skills, and what happened to them which made them the person they are now.
    • You must include one or more piece of LotC lore within your biography. This can include names of cities, cultures, etc.
  • Facts
    • Your character cannot radiate a demonic aura - it is not allowed.
    • Please avoid making your character an assassin - there is no indication in his biography which explains why he's an assassin, how he is trained to be an assassin, and so forth. It has become very cliche for new players to apply for an assassin based character, therefore please avoid in making your character such.
    • Once again - your character cannot be a human who is turned into a halfling.

 

You can reapply within three hours.
