    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: By having a solid foundation character wise and respecting other people's needs and wants during a roleplay situation.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: It makes roleplay less fun for everyone and creates unfair situations that could negatively affect either someone's experience when roleplaying, or their character during roleplay events.

Roleplay Scenario:

Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

 

"I wanted a life beyond my family's forge; I left home to crave my own path and see the world. To create a legacy, I can call my own in hopes of looking back on it when I'm older, flaws and all."

  • Please make sure to include at least six sentences in your roleplay scenario! If you’re stumped on what to add. I recommend saying where you are from, how was it growing up? Maybe talk about your parents? Etc.
  • Please make sure to use actions in your backstory/roleplay scenario. This is just to ensure we know what you are doing!  When talking about your character’s actions! Remember to use 3rd person! Example: Judy stomps her foot on the ground. “How dare you!” she screams.
