Your character has just arrived in a gloomy, swampy village. Looking around, they come across shacks and huts. The air smells of rotten wood and damp moss. They duck down and enter a shabby tent, lit by a string of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old witch raises her head: "What brings you to this dreary village?" She begins, then pauses to study your face: "Ah, it's you... I was expecting you. Sit down," she says, gesturing to a cushion. "Tell me your story."
((How do they respond?))
The tall goblin stops inside the tent without approaching the cushion. They stand, watching the old woman and the floating candles, alert to their every move. The idea of having been awaited doesn't sit well with them.
"I don't usually announce my arrival," they say in a low voice. "And yet, you claim you were expecting me."
Their posture is firm, prepared.
—I want to know where you know me from… and why?.
