    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: My only actions are those which a reasonable person could execute. As a result, I am able to avoid power gaming. Additionally, I will phrase my actions towards other players as "attempted to" or something similar, so that it is an effort on my part, not just something that happens.
    It is power gaming if I say something like "I kill you instantly with magic" since it allows no interaction and is unlikely for my character to be capable of.
