Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

“Ah, I don’t believe we’ve met before,” he remarked, settling into a worn wooden chair. His voice carried a hint of eccentricity, playful yet sincere. “But I suppose pleasantries can wait. I come from a home steeped in misfortune and loss.”  He paused, his expression darkening momentarily. “They are all gone now,” he continued, extending a firm handshake that revealed the weight of his past. “You could say I’m a traveler in search of others like me—those who are weary of oppression and the disgrace of the High King.”
