Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
Faeriel paused for a moment, blinking her eyes, looking first at the person in front of her and then around. She sits down slowly on the cushion, hands resting on her lap.
“…My story?” she repeats, quietly. “I’m not sure where to start. I was walking, looking... something-?" she sighed deeply "Frankly, I've been on the road for a while now, unable to remember what I'm looking for.”
Her gaze drifts to the candles for a moment before returning to the old woman. “I’ve been alive for a long time. Most of it is… unimportant. People I knew are gone.”
She tilts her head slightly. “But if you were expecting me, then I suppose I must be here for a reason.”
