Lollass

The first day if this creature's life was a confusing one. As all newborn parents do after the little one is born, they sum up what the baby looks like. But for this little one it was different.

The mother: Jhoannah, first spoke of an beautiful  gold haired girl with the biggest, most beautiful green  eyes she had ever seen. But there were worried eyes all around the cave looking at the baby girl and the mother. 

You probably did not expect to see cave in the text there. Well let me explain.

These creatures are cave dwarfs. So you would understand why they would not be in an normal hospital ore house as you are used to.

But i am getting of track here. Let me see where were I?... Ohh Yes i remember.

The father of the still unnamed baby: Don, said worrying to his wife, But my dear she is not gold... No... She has the most black coal like hair as if it was mined my my own to pickaxes.

From then on all the other dwarfs butted in of how they saw the child. Al tho it was an worry for the family, they did accept the fact that they would not ever see the real face of the child. 

They did however settle on a name for the "faceless” child.

Her name would be Lollas. 

As you would imagine child would not have a normal childhood. There for she would become shy and very careful of who she could trust.

All this because of all the eyes that would be on her. everywhere she would go, the eyes would follow her. And the attention she would get was always misleading.

She would befriend someone and later discover it was all because of het "looks”

After a few years (5) the family found out why they would see Lollas as day did. They saw the perfect image of what they thought was beautiful.

When Lollas was at the age (10) that she got the meaning of that, she became fearful. Not because she thought it was scary. But of the fact that her actions would not be filtered in that way.

She did not wanted to get the nice faces from everyone because they thought she was only a pretty face.

She wanted them to see that she had actual qualities that they would appreciate more than her so called beauty.

When she became of age (18) she was old enough to marry. But for Lollas that was not what she wanted. All her life she was held back of what her true passion was.

Mining.

She had been called back, brought back, persuaded and kept busy to not "let her beautiful looks” be scared or staind by the hard stone of the underground.

No she did not want to get married. She wanted to mine. And collect all the beautiful things her mother and father always came home with.

So she would conjure up a plan to get away. away from the so called protection.

She would go and find a place she would find safe and maybe stay there until she would grow tired of being alone. 

But she did not forsee the newlings she would meet that would take her on an whole new adventure.
