Arthur is a merchant descendant of the Allard line, and the first child of Adrien Allard. His loyalty to his family, and its traditionally militant nature, have limited his mercantile success in the past, though due to recent success and a desire for ambition, Arthur has begun to expand his sphere of influence. With the support of his grandfather he has begun his merchant ventures. While growing up Arthur to become a merchant, but because of his families militant background he was pressed into service. This caused a decent amount of strife between Arthur and his father Adrien, causing him to be more loyal towards his grandfather Byrant.

History of house Allard

Foundation of Rouena | 936 anno domini

Rouena was founded in 936 in the Principality of Relouria, founded by the progenitor of House Allard. Having served House Halcourt loyally for many years, House Allard was permitted a barony under them an honor they would never forget. It was a place for scholars and all people of sound mind and held universities, observatories and other places of learning.


The Cadet’s War | 1397 anno domini

Following the tanist election the chancellor of Relouria was shot and killed. Serving their liege lords loyally, House Allard attempted to aide the Halcourts in stealing the throne of Relouria, leading to years of war. Abandoning their peaceful roots the Allards took up arms and rode to war.


 

Fall of the Principality | 1436 anno domini

Following years of internal turmoils, Relouria was in ruins and were easy pickings for foreign aggressors. While House Allard liege lords and most of their servants fled the country, House Allard stubbornly stayed behind to defend their homeland. Rouena was lost, then Relouria and soon after Athera.

 

Orenian Assimilation | 1450 anno domini

In the mid fifteenth century, the Relourian population was mostly integrated into Orenian society, mostly in the Savoyard region. House Allard had mostly disappeared into obscurity.

 

A Young Squire | 1577 anno domini

By 1577 a young eleven year old squire by the name of Bryant Allard had a run in with a seasoned veteran of Legio I Ioannes, Sylvestre II Halcourt. Squired by Ser Edwyn Harwyn in the ways of the sword and taught by Ser Sylvestre Halcourt in the ways of the pen he was determined to bring his house back to glory.

 

The Loyal | 1587 - 1589 anno domini

For having served in the legion for a decade, having reached the rank of Decurion and for serving as Auditor-General in the Imperial Administration, Bryant Allard was granted Knighthood by his Imperial Majesty Philip I Horen and later married to Lady Aliyah Brawm in the year 1589.

Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
