Born on a certain day to uncertain parents, Sotha Zirel or Seht, as he would be called, was a Dark Elf orphan left in Azuras, in the Princedom of Caurost, taken in by an older High Elf named Gilas, a man well in his twilight years. He raised Seht teaching him to be independent and to take care of himself. Gilas, though reclusive and often quiet, he'd become a dear father figure to Seht, showing his care through action rather than words.
Growing up in the streets of Caurost, Seht met people from different and rich backgrounds and cultures. Each encounter making him grow more curious. Over time, this sparked a deep urge to learn about what's beyond the Princedom. When he'd asked Gilas about world, he was not shut down or silenced. Instead, he was pushed to explore, to see, and to learn.
"Remember this, boy. Maybe. The word I covet above all others.
Hold to that word, my child, and never let go. You will understand it's significance in your journey."
Those were the last mysterious words Seht would hear from Gilas before he set off in his journey, determined to experience everything he could. To see and learn from everything and everyone he meets through his adventure.
The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
Sotha sat in the dingy wooden chair, his posture straight and confident. "I'm Sotha Zirel, of the Princedom of Caurost. I came here to explore, to learn, to see." he leaned forward in his seat, a wide grin covered his face, his eyes determined. "I want to meet everyone, learn at least one thing from each person. Simply put; I'm a wanderer that wishes to learn whatever I can, from whomever I can." He leaned back, his grin settling into a warm, soft smile. "As lofty as it may sound, that is my dream."
