Elisabet was born into the lower class, by Anne and William Hogget Bethell. They had two other children, Marie, and Edward Hogget Bethell. She began chores at the age of 7, everyday her life consisted of praying, cleaning the house, making food for her family, practicing baking and cooking, feeding the animals, and milking the cows, and praying again. She was 10 when she learned how to make her own clothes and finally got the chance to take care of her family's herb garden. She was 13 when her younger brother, Edward passed away from a dry cough to coughing up blood in just 6 months at the age of 11. Her parents would die that same year from a horse accident, Anne hitting her head, William going crazy and eventually killing himself.                                                                                                Elisabet has been living with her grandmother, Angus, for 2 years since her parents death, her older sister, Marie left 1 year earlier, and rarely receives her sisters letters. Elisabet began her diary at the age of 17, just 3 years after her sister leaving the family. Her grandmother Angus would die of "Unkown causes" the doctors said, but it could've been an infection in the lungs or an infection in the mouth, her symptoms were too disturbing to mention, the infections runs in the blood of the Hogget Bethell's. Now, Elisabet Hogget Bethell is 18.                                                                                            Elisabet is now 18, and dreams of becoming a good mother to her future kids, and hopes that she won't always live in fear of what runs in her blood. History is not only her favorite subject, but history is the only thing she learned that was not basic life living. History is like a part of her that will never go away. Sadly, she never bought a book, never read further more, but wishes to have children, so every night she can sit by their bed, and tell them these fascinating stories, myths, legends, lores, and hopefully, just hopefully, her kids would have a much better life, and wishes to at least raise up her status to becoming a middle class citizen so she can buy them books, they can get better education, better life style, and not suffer the trauma their mother got from the loss of family members)
