My character was born on the Greek island of Lefkada where he got the Greek name Orpheus. In this place a small community of dark elves lived here and praised an old ancestor which used magical powers that are lost today to protect their tribe. They don't know the name of this person, so they pronounced them as the Dark Lord. At the age of 15, Orpheus noticed that something red and glowing was spreading from their arm, which ended up being a very rare infection that eliminates emotions from the body slowly in time. When Orpheus' parents gathered enough money over time, they left on Orpheus' 18th birthday to seek help in the land of Almaris as they had a better chance of dealing with the issue, but they were disappointed with the news they received saying that the magic that they're looking for has been lost for decades and hasn't been found yet. Later on when Orpheus was 21, his parents were killed by human guards sent by a rich family of high elves to kill two dark elves for procedures unknown which created the bias that Orpheus has had against high elves and how they can do whatever they please. One thing that seemed to trouble Orpheus was how the feeling of sadness towards the loss of his parents was not as intense as it would've been. Fast forward at the age of 24, Orpheus became a successful contractor that granted favors for money, but still searches for the mystical power that will save the emotions that have withered away. All Orpheus has is the fear of losing all emotion and the awe towards the Dark Lord.
