Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
"Um, greetings miss, I'm delighted to be in the presence of your (*gag*) h-humble abode" His insides squirmed as the new odor hit his nose. The old lady started, " Thank you for the niceties but please if you would, kindly tell me of your past." He slowly takes a seat on the stained cushion as the old women clasps her small wrinkled hands in anticipation. "well I suppose" he started, collecting his thoughts. "To not bore you the most concise way of putting, would be to say I'm a wanderer, exiled from my kingdom for differing beliefs, I need to prove myself if I ever hope to return." The old woman slowly scratches one of the many warts adorned on her forehead. "and, pray tell what are these differing beliefs you speak of?" She said with curiosity. Sweat beads on His forehead as the humid atmosphere begins to get to him. "I believe there is no distinction between that of peasants and royalty, this realization followed the discovery of the love of my life, Melan, she was a wonderful women, she knew not the manners of royalty but she was kind above all else, in a way those in power scarcely replicate." "Ah." He realized, "Apologies for rambling, Melan was reprimanded and marked for execution on suspicion for crimes against the king, try as I might I couldn't save her. I vowed not to return until I was able to prove my beliefs true. I've been traveling since then." The old lady sat there listening quietly before starting "Its alright, your story was quite interesting." She croaked "do take care traveler, you'd best be off now." She says as she gestures a hand towards the cloth entrance. "Thank you for taking the time to listen!" He said excitedly as he got up and headed towards the exit. She says quickly. "Oh goodness I almost forgot!, please if you would, tell me your name young man." He stopped in the door and turned his head to the old hag before speaking " My name? Its Elian, Elian Sandithan."
