Edrick’s family is that of the Highlander culture, the Kaedrin to be exact. His family lived remote, fending for themselves at the edge of a small river some miles away from the capital city Reza, fishing and hunting to get by. It was just Edrick, his father, and his mother wasting the days away fletching arrows, cleaning, and surviving. Edrick longed for something more, a wanderlust in his heart that grew and grew until he could not fend it off anymore. Edrick spoke to his father one night to gain his blessing to see Reza and forge a name for himself in Haense, though he knew that it would be unlikely. To Edrick’s surprise, his father and mother bid him farewell, giving him supplies to last just until he could make it to Reza. Edrick set out in the spring so as not to be trapped by the snows and headed off from the little river he called home towards the hub of Haense, the city of Reza. As he drew closer he saw not only the towering walls of Reza, but the catalyst of his future.
