As I approach the welcoming gentleman, I wave and smile softly. "Greetings good man! My name is Morrin, and I come here seeking the arcane arts." I stop to shake his hand, eyeing him up and down slightly to judge his class and sense of taste. "I don't suppose you would know where the cities research office or school of magic would be would you" I ask as I stair up at the impending walls of the new city I hope to call home. As this kind man answers with directions, I can't help but ponder how my brother might be doing. (perhaps I shall invite him to visit my study one day) I think to myself, as I make my way into the borders of the town, and scribbling my thoughts in my journal.

How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Using game knowledge to give your character knowledge of things he would not normally know from his life in game. Like Morrin knowing somehow that the leader of order or kingdom was a human named Joe that lives in house 6 at XYZ street.
How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: Using godly or game breaking skills that your character would not be able to poses. Example being Morrin making a triple flip up to the third story of a building, or making just the perfect kill shot without leaving any room for error.
