Sela grew up in a middle-class family with two siblings, both sisters. She almost always had food on the table, a bed to sleep in, and she never had to worry about money at a young age. She grew up with a decent education available to her, and spent most of her time reading books in her family's library. Nothing significant happened to her over the years; both of her parents and sisters are still alive with lives of their own. One day, in her town square, she and a group of her friends came upon a mage who showed them a slight trick of light in the palm of his hand. This sparked Sela's intrigue with the magical arts, and so, she's spent most of her time meditating and preparing for the moment she finds someone to teach her.
A deep, content sigh escaped the woman's lips as she trailed her gaze along the bustling bazaar. It seemed as if she were caught in a long daydream, only snapping back into reality once the man spoke to her. "Oh," she'd pause, brows knotting in slight confusion, "well... that, I haven't quite decided yet. I suppose it depends on where I end up going first! Speaking of... do you happen to know where the nearest pub is? I'm absolutely parched after that whole boat-ordeal!"
