    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: To avoid powergaming I make sure to respect other players decisions, letting the story unfold in a natural way, keeping it fun for anyone involved, making sure my character is not too strong or always getting what they want.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: It destroys the separation there is between the player knowledge and the character knowledge. Ruining the character limitations and giving unfair advantages that ruin the server environment.

Character Age: 90
Physical Description: 90 years old monk, his posture is calm and balanced, his presence feels silent, and his movements, which are slow by choice, reflect his composure.
Roleplay Scenario:

Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Example: 

Carmelo does not answer right away. The silence feels deep. When he finally speaks, his voice reveals wisdow, from someone who dreams of being forgotten.

-"Everything I was... passed, all those medals didn't mean anything, it was just garbage, 
I buried victories beside the dead they cost." She looks shocked, realizing the man she once knew is no longer there.
"Ask me who I am now. The rest is dust.
I live in the monastery, I have for a few years now,
After I fought to help the crown, they turned their backs on the people that sacrificed their lives. All those medals and gifts they gave me are just... garbage, filled with the blood of comrades who never had the opportunity to return home. I left it all behind, because I can't carry what they call "honor", I call it weight."

For reasons such as:


 

  • Your Character Age is too old. For humans you must pick between ages 18-50. Characters age on LOTC with one IRL week being equal to one year. We ask that for your first character you stick within the 18-50 range. No need to change anything about the character but the age. Though, I would recommend changing your race to Farfolk as it better represents the characters appearance.

 

 

Your application was good, however there are just a few issues that need editing. You have 48 hours to make the changes. Please message me here on the forums, or through my discord once you’ve made the changes, and I’ll take another look at your application.
