A banished servant of Morgoth. Betraying the Dark Ainur for having a dwelling heart for the song of creation. At the end of the First Age he would have fled his dark master's grasp. Seeking the aid of the elves he would be denied initially. Until he proved his loyalty at a Siege of Barad-dur where Gil-galad the later King of Elves appraised the him for his service. He was gifted a Talisman of Light. A reminder of his valor to both elves and men. Now he wanders the land in seeking to aid all those who stand against Morgoth's minion. (I'm unsure how deep into the lore you go so I am willing to adjust according)

They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
