You’ve just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As you look around, your gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. You duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? she begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"you've been waiting for me?" Arieawyn asked with a puzzled glance, "I'm very sorry ma'am but I don't believe we have ever met. though I am weary from my travels and could use a decent rest I suppose" they took off the quiver held on their back and laid her swords down gently.
"My name is Arieawyn, but my friends generally call me Wyn for short. I came here in search of someone who would teach me to be a warrior. its greatly unconventional I know, that's what my mother always told me 'elves don't use swords Wyn and they absolutely don't use two of them! its impractical and a bow gets the job done much better" they put their arms on their waist and bounced around pantomiming what was presumably their mother scolding them. "I know Wood elves make the best bows in the land and I know that my family has never trained in anything but a bow, but I dont want to be held back by the drawback" they snickered at their own joke, and looked slightly disappointed when the old woman in front of them looked unamused. "being practically useless just isnt my style, and I dont like the prospect of running out of ammunition in the middle of a big fight. Not like Ive ever been in a big fight in my life..." realizing they were going on a tangent and speaking too much they backed off a little bit and cleared their throat. "Sorry, I tend to talk a lot when I am nervous, which is all the time. I want to experience the world for myself and find a group to adventure with, someplace to call my home that isnt back in the stuffy woods of my parents hovel with all the same people Ive known all my life. and I know 20 years isnt that old for an elf but Im fully matured and ready to find my own way in life, wherever that life may lead, though the good times and the bad times."
