Daniel’s story is not like other one... He was born in a far away from Atlas in a city called Dover. 6 years after his birth he was forced to work in a coal mine, but one day he managed to escape throug a tunnel, leaving his past behind. another 6 years later he gathered enough money from small jobs to buy a ticket to an airship and go to the Sky-City. A scientist discovered his great abilities in engineering and hand work, so he hired him as an apprentice. 4 year after these events Daniel and the scientist had an accident in an experiment. They tried to opena portal to a new dimension but the machine didn’t wanted to shut down and sucked inside Daniel. He woke up in a field surrounded by trees and mountains. He discovered a path near the forest so he followed it into a city. Suddenly he realised he’s in the other dimension, and there’s no way out. He started working as a blacksmith in town called Metterden. After he raised enogh money to leave, he went to Atlas to seek fortune and a way back to his own world.

Physical Description: Brown medium lenght hair, blue eyes, avarage seize and a wierd outfit.
Roleplay Scenario: The traveller has just arrived in a small town. As they look around, their gaze is met with run down houses and shops. They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”

Hello, first i’ll like to welcome you to the server, although I have placed your application on Pending though don’t worry, this just means you have a few mistakes in your application which can be improved upon before we allow you to join our server and community. 

The changes which i’ll like see polished out would be;

  • Your Definitions on both metagaming and powergaming need to be expanded on to see if we know that you understand both correctly. Written in your own words. You can find both examples here:

  • Second, when it comes to your biography. We’ve had several other maps then Atlas you can reference, if you can do this and change your application to suit. As simply referring to ‘born far away from Atlas’ wouldn’t cut it. You can find the other maps here:

  • Third, airships are currently not accepted lore on LoTC which I would have you refrain from utilizing it in your application. Simply change these to a boat or cart. On this fact, a sky-city doesn’t currently exist either so you’ll have to remove that, if you wish to know one of our city names and considering you’re a human i’ll refer you to one on the wiki, simply change sky-city out to one existing one – you will find this listed under the Nation Section;

  • Forth reason, although you can be a scientist and engineer in your biography i’ll recommend toning down the level of expertise. On this note, you’ve mentioned assisting in the creation of a device to create a portal. As the reasons suggested above, remove this. It doesn’t fit in current LoTC lore, nor does Dimension jumping. 

 

For your application biography as a whole, i’ll recommend rewording it to say you grew up in a city of Atlas (list the city), to which you where an apprentice blacksmith who not only forged tools became a self-taught engineerist. On an experiment turned wrong you gained amnesia and lost some of your memories of the time. Now wondering the land of Atlas trying to remember your past. This is an example of something on how i’ll restructure your biography and something that if you do want to go down write in your own words.
