Beaver was born to a Woodcutter family north of Brandybrook, to his parents Axus and Sawyer, where he spent his entire life cutting down trees for the settlment, never leaving the woods as it was customary for only the adults to do so. He had a friendly chicken as a pet named Twig, that followed him on his woodcutting adventures but was killed by a pack of wolves when he was 10. At leaast that's what his parents told him as they fed him chicken that night during a long cold winter.
Beaver lacked a regular education and was simply taught the basics of common and axe safety. His mother Axus, taught him how to fight with an axe, while his father Sawyer taught him how to fell the mighty ancient trees.
When he was 20, he was given his first iron axe, which he used to fell the oldest tree in the land called Featherhide, as its bark resembled the feathers of a bird. A local circle of druids were enraged and fought Beaver to his last breath before he was saved by a skeletal warrior, who slaughtered all the druids before moving on.
Beaver is now 33, and is now an adult in the eyes of all halflings. He is now old enough to go out into the world and make a name for himself.
