You step cautiously into the tent, the flickering candlelight casting shadows across your strong features. Your hands clench briefly at your sides before you speak, your voice steady but low.
“I have come seeking answers,” you begin, meeting the old hag’s gaze. “I’ve traveled far, through forests and broken roads, following whispers of this town. My family was torn apart by war and treachery, and I was left to learn the world through hardship and sweat. I have grown strong to survive, but there are debts unpaid, truths hidden… and I was told you might guide me.”
You pause, letting the weight of your words sink in, then add, “I mean no harm to your people. I seek only knowledge… and perhaps a way to set right what was done to mine.” Your eyes scan the dim interior, steady and determined, awaiting her response.
