Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

Edmund cautiously sits down on the creaking chair and his shaky voice responds with "I come from a family of blacksmiths. I was once one myself; there was a wife and a shop I had to look after. One day, my wife came with a local plague, leaving her bedridden. I used every resource, even selling my shop, to help her, but it only ended in failure eventually. She passed on, and with nothing left, I became nothing but a wanderer with no home nor wife, wondering what would be my next calling."
Edmund took a short breather after he told his sob story to the stranger, only to realize how strange the situation was. Without a word from the hag or Him, he used his grimy boots to lift himself up and off the chair, stumbling towards the door off to his next journey.
