Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
"Me? why have you been waiting for me?"
The old woman looked at me not at all impressed by my inquisitiveness. "Young lady sit down and tell me why you are here" the old lady says again and directs me to the pillow on the floor.
I look around. The darkness is lit up by some hanging lanterns from the ceiling and some candles on what look like a wooden box from the fishing port. An almost electric sensation runs through my back but I sit on the floor and follow the old lady with my eyes as she sits down on an old worn-down wooden chair in the corner of the tent. "so?" the old lady says and pulls me out of my blurry mind.
" eeh, i guess i'm here to find myself " the lady just keeps looking at me so i keep talking. " Ever since I was little my father wanted me to be the perfect dotter helping at home cleaning, cooking yes I guess you understand. I chose to escape to live my life and follow my dreams of becoming a farmer and creating the family I want and I hope one day I can show my father that I can bring some honor to the family name"
I look up from the floor with red eyes. I feel the tears want to run down my cheek but I holding them back. " i can tell you there is a reason why you are here and i can see that what you dream of wants to come your way" the old lady says. I hear a sound outside the tent, get scared and check to see where it came from. I turn back towards the lady, she is gone. I stand up and carefully pull the flap away from the opening and look around but don't see her.
"I guess my journey starts here"
