Uhtred found himself staring in awe at the imposing structures before him. Never before had he seen stones built this high up in the sky: it appeared as though man had tried to reach The Creator with his materials. Pushed by the Lord standing behind him, Uhtred slowly started walking onwards until being stopped once again by a well-dressed gentlemen, with an unforgettable smile. “Welcome!”, he began. “What brings you to this lovely city? Adventure? Wealth? Or some grand aspirations to elevate your place in society?” He took another glance at the eye-catching structures in front of him, redirected his attention to the seemingly sociable man and responded as followed: “If I had an answer, I wouldn’t hesitate to tell you, mate.” He would smile, somewhat surprised by his own new-found confidence after seizing freedom from his slave masters. When he saw the man’s offended facial expression, he wondered what he had done wrong, nearly confronted him about it, but decided to leave him alone in the end. He had never been in a place like this and wished to see what adventures it had in store for him.
