Macella is a highlander girl, born in Norland. She was raised by her father, as her mother died when she gave birth to Macella. Macella's father, Jakob Acantha, was raising her with the values of his kingdom which was, to fight.
Macella was put through many days of hard work, such as fishing with her father. While she was growing up into a fine young lady, an interest was piqued, and that interest grew into fascination. She heard about magic when she was younger, and her father and her kingdom despised it. After all, Norland respects the strong and shuns magic. At 21, she couldn't take it, and she wanted more out of life then just fishing and farming. Thus, she ran away from her home to venture the unknown. Just recently running away, she's fresh meat and this bright, unknown world just might tear her to shreds.

They duck into one of the shacks, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the small room, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town?" She begins, then pauses to study their face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a chair, “Where do you come from? What do you hope to make of yourself?”
