    In your own words, what is powergaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Making your character very realistic and an even player amongst the others.
    In your own words, what is metagaming, and why should it be avoided in roleplay?: Its just not realistic, the role-play experience should be as realistic as possible to if you were playing the actual character

Character Age: 18
Physical Description: Half high elf, half human. Brown hair, blue eyes, leaner but still built and tall.
Roleplay Scenario:

Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”

"Hello, stranger" "I am in search of a new life, my previous one has been abandoned as I have been banished from my old village due to my impurity of a being a high elf. Do you happen to be able to point me in the right direction?"

  • Please review our Wiki’s definition of Metagaming. Your response is not quite right, please speak about what metagaming is and how it specifically affects roleplay/how does it actually ruin it. Ensure to include an example in your response. If you're having a hard time writing something down/or don’t know how else to word it, contact a community member. If you need help, please feel free to reach out.
  • Please make sure to include at least six sentences in your roleplay scenario! If you’re stumped on what to add. I recommend saying where you are from, how was it growing up? Maybe talk about your parents? Etc.
    • Please ensure your scenario response includes a substantial action, as large of a part of roleplay as dialogue. If you're not sure, maybe describe your character's body language, them shuffling around, whatever you feel is appropriate.
