    How do you avoid powergaming in roleplay?: Using out of character information in character in order to make yourself knowledgeable to something you shouldn't know about in character. an example being a treasure chest located deep in the woods that your friend tells you about and you go there without knowing about it in roleplay.
    How does metagaming disrupt fair roleplay?: forcing an action or attack onto another player without giving them a chance to defend themself or stop the action. an example being, "John slices the man's neck off before he can react!"

Mathis steps off the boat taking a deep breath in as he'd gain a sense of his surroundings.  Upon the man's approach Mathias would return the smile giving a dip of his head in greeting towards the man, "Hail, I have come here in search of a future in the military. Do you know where I could go to sign up?" He asked dropping the belongings he carried in the large sack over his back onto the pier before him.
