Briefly explain the lore behind this construct or creature:

A wonk is a frog or toad like creature with a lesser soul. The limitation on their soul prevents them from learning magics that rely heavily on a soul connection. The frog subspecies is generally taller and thinner than their toad counterparts, who typically have dryer skin as well. Wonks are classified into two classes: tribal and reformed. Tribal wonks generally live in swamps and marshes with a more primitive nature, developing from contact with orcs. On the other hand are the reformed wonks, who follow descendants in their lifestyle, mimicking their clothes, speech, and traditions. Water is an essential aspect of a wonk's life, bathing in it over periods of time to remain healthy. As they get older their ability to maintain moisture decreases, their skin drying and cracking over time and reaching a breaking point when they have reached 120, returning to the water to pass away. Lacking a difference between males and females, any adult wonk is capable of carrying eggs on their backs, though the eggs must be hatched in fresh water or the tadpole will die. If the egg does survive, it will grow into a fully physically mature wonk after five years.
