When I mean communing with animals I don’t mean I can talk to them, just that I’m sensitive to their needs and wants and that passive creatures typically are not too afraid of my character. I noticed that it can be taken that I mean he is magically gifted when he’s not.

F’aelan Mossbrok born in 1641 to his Wood Elf Druid mother Selveth Mossbrok and a human father known as Agras a seafaring pirate to whom he does not know the name of. Selveth when pregnant gave birth to F’aelan in Wood Elf capital of Atlas Caras Eldar; she had previously ran away from her family in Caras with F’aelan’s father. Selveth upon leaving her family in Caras Eldar was cruelly estranged from them; but through her pleading was allowed entrance back into her family’s house momentarily. Her parents despised Agras for taking Selveth away from them; they believed that he corrupted her with his tales of adventure and piracy. Breaking the very important tenants and codes of the Seeds. Although upon hearing that Selveth had to abandon Agras’ homestead as she had witnessed him killed over what she could only assume was a gambling debt; they pitied her most upon hearing she was pregnant. Selveth overcome with grief for her lost love Agras killed herself not long after F’aelan’s birth; bringing a great mourning to their entire family. F’aelan was predominantly raised by his mother’s sister Ka’rlin and her partner I’oren who were more than happy to raise F’aelan since through the Elven Curse they had greatly struggled to conceive a child. The only condition was that he was not told of his half human heritage or anything about his father Argas. F’aelan lived a happy childhood amongst the wildlife and forests of Loftywoods of Malin; his uncle and auntie like his mother was a very loving and caring Elf. Her love extended to all fauna and flora; he certainly took on this trait as he did not follow in the footsteps of his father or his uncle I’oren who crafted bows for the Kingdom of Gladewynn. The other elf’s of his age would not be as warm to him as the natural world; none the wiser to his half human blood. F’aelan from the age of five to twenty loved to spend most of his time in the groves of the forests with the animals and plants. One summer when F’aelan was twenty-one he befriended a fox; he had a gift for communing with animals. He named it Flyf and they were inseparable. Even when working for his uncle; taking shipments of bows to the local towns he could tell that humans would sneer at him and Flyf. Fae’lan awoke one morning to find that Flyf was not curled up by his toes like he usually was. Fae’lan thought it was odd; but it did not concern him too much. Flyf would often wander out at dusk to hunt and scrap with other foxes. Fae’lan went to the Loftwoods; to the stream to wash and listen to the bird’s song like he did every morning. He started to become suspicious that Flyf had still not made an appearance; it was unusual by this point that he had not come to visit him. Loud, strange voices were heard. Fae’lan felt like they were coming from all angles; he sprinted to the nearest tree and nestled himself in the bushes of the branch. “Dese pointy ears don’t guard their goods very well do they” a gruff voice slopped. F’aelan could see below him five men; all dragging corpses of elk, wolves, sheep and chickens in a wooden trailer. None of them were recognisable to him and none of them were Elves of the Caras Eldar. They were human poachers. ”We wanna move out here quick lads; I here the pointy tree lovin folk out ere ain’t very forgiving when it comes to poaching” one largely built man dressed from head to toe in fur interjected; he slapped one of them on the back of the head as the one in front was making obscene gestures with his ears and private areas. Fae’lan was holding his breath at this point; struggling to keep the bubbling fury within him. “Them meek little tree lovers ain’t gonna do squat; ‘ere I’ll just fashion this chicken muncher into a hat so they can’t see my ears!” a man cried out laughing at the back, waving a dead fox around in the air. They all burst out into an infernal devilish cackle and moved on towards forest edge. A tear trickled down F’aelan’s eye. Holding both his hands to his mouth. He sat in the tree until they were out of sight. F’aelan waited, and waited in the woods. Hoping that it was not Flyf. Praying to mother Cerridwen that it was not Flyf the poachers had twisted around in the air like a plaything to be discarded. It did not matter to F’aelan if it were Flyf or not. He would make the poachers pay. His uncle I’oren as prolific an archer as he was a bowyer. He should have warned the Elders and Druids within Caras Eldar of the poachers but he did not. He took it upon himself to train with the bow and arrow; he waited for them in the Loftywood a few weeks later. When he was not grieving; and confident with his shot. Five men, caped in furs. Carrying bows and axes entered the Loftywoods; they ventured into the same grove by the pond that F’aelan watched them pass through with their filthy spoils. Only one Elf left; he left them for nature to have its final revenge. Fae’lan lived most of his life protecting wildlife, putting an end to the unnecessary destruction of fauna and flora where ever he traveled. He came to realise before his family could explain to him; that he was not a normal Wood Elf. They begrudged told him that he was half wood elf and half-human; he set out from Caras Eldar to be with the druids with some time. Not practicing in their magic or alchemy, but to protect what could not always protect themselves. When the year 1705 came round and the Elves dispersed and traveled beyond the horizons. He took it upon himself to travel to, finding nothing was left to actually tie him to Atlas or moved on to Arcas. And settled in the Wood Elf province of Aegrothond to keep up his duty. To protect the green and carry out the duties of the mother of the forest Cerridwen.
  3. Thank you! Damn yeah a halfling would have been a really fun to play; I kinda went down the route of a Wood Elf for my first idea. I think I’ll definitely be playing a halfing next!
  4. Hey! Quick question, I’ve tried joining the discord through the invite but it said the invite was invalid. Anyway you could send me one?
  5. Hello everybody, really excited to start role-playing on this server. Big Minecraft fan and an even bigger fantasy/role-play fan so it seems perfect. Just read the rules/lore and I’m now fleshing out my character now; looking forward to meeting you all in game when I’ve been whitelisted. ?
