After eyeing up the well-dressed man and attempting to discern his intentions, I would reply “Peace and quiet.” as I brush past the man making no attempt to converse with this odd fellow. From previous life experiences those that smile the biggest are the most dangerous. I would disappear into the crowd and perform light recon in taverns regarding the well-dressed man and his reception. If he is a man of interest I would find him again.
