she finds the promise of an adventure, she pounces on it, often getting her into trouble. She is quick to make new friends, but is too trusting of them. One morning, about 18 years ago, a travelling man named Ismael Qureshi (GopnikHasWares, we have an agreement about this character being raised by him) found a baby outside his cart. With the baby, there was only a blanket and a name tag saying Elayne. The man brought her up as his own. He taught her the ways of his faith and how to get along in the world, how to fight and take care of herself. Until the age of about 12, she never considered that her skin tone was different from his, or that he never directly showed her to other people like some fathers did. After a while, she was told that she was adopted, and the circumstances of Ismael finding her. Every so often, Ismael would get to one of the cities, like Helena or Al’Faiz, and he would take her inside to see what it was like. Wherever they went, Elayne saw all the different cultures, from the wildlings, to the northerners in Reza, and wanted to explore the world herself. So, at the age of 17, Elayne left home and went to explore, learning how to gather food from the wilderness, and survive on her own. After a while, though, she decided that she had learned enough (and had gotten bored of living by herself) and went to live in the big cities. On her way to one of the cities, she slipped and fell, and woke up in Cloud temple. 9

, exploring every hidden detail he can find. This often leads to overthinking, and he can often get lost in his adventures. He is kind to others, and does what he can to help people in need. Arin was born to a single mother, and live his infancy in a small shack. As a child, he had noticed that he and his mother never went outside the house, and wondered why. He kept asking, and eventually, his mother replied that they had been put there as a punishment, and that they were the only ones who their puniishers had been this kind to, everyone else being killed. But she would not say by whom or what for. She did say that there once had been many others like them, in a great city but now that was all gone. When he was slightly older, his mother presented him with a dagger, saying it was his father’s. It had a strange emblem on it that he did not know. While he was a teen, he often explored around the house as much as he could. Whenever he pulled back a curtain or wooden board, however, he found only stone. Every day, the wooden door loomed over his life, engulfing his interest. His mother warned him never to open it, but one day, his curiousity got the better of him. He threw open the door, and everything went black. He woke up in the cargo hold of a ship in Aegrothond. To this day, he hasn’t found out where he and his mother where imprisoned, or even what the emblem on his armour meant. Nobody could tell him anything. The only clue he had was a memory, without sight, only a memory of a voice, not his mother’s, telling him that what he sought could have been found in the library of Ves, had the city not been destroyed, and that the Elven Union could help him, if he could get within their borders and gain their trust.

When Arin was a child, he was apprenticed to a mage, who disappeared promptly after, giving him no time to learn anything. Arin, who had looked up to the mage as a father-figure, was devastated. From that moment on, he roamed the land as a man of opportunity, often living solely on the kindness of others, gathering any and all information he could about his mentor. For that reason, he mostly considers things quietly and peacefully, but if you insult his master, all hell will break loose, even if he cannot attack, even if bound and gagged, he will fly into a rage, and do all he can to avenge his teacher’s honour.
