  1. THE BOGATYR QUEST Rosalind Weiss Penned by THE KNIGHT PARAMOUNT Naf zwy 2nd hag i Jula ag Piov i 504 E.S. Krusae zwy Kongzem A lady of passion and pride is Rosalind Weiss. Since meeting her as a youngster, she has grown exponentially in the face of adversity. No matter the trials that life itself has thrown at her, she has overcome. No matter what flaw she must conquer, she has overcome. There are times where we have looked upon the young Rosalind and wondered if she will persevere, and each time she has. Now an integral part of Haeseni life, Rosalind Weiss finds herself active in the courts, and in military service where she has commanded respect in each. Her good standing amongst the citizenry stemming from her profound loyalty and her eternal persistence testify to her diligent character. Moving forwards in her duty as a squire, she has completed trials which have tested her ability and fortitude. She has thus completed the following: In honor of Slavomir, as all squires must, she has completed the Trial of the Warrior. Here, she has proven her ability to current knights in duels. In honor of Ratibor, she has completed the Trial of Faith. Here, she has shown her capability to present the utmost faith to GOD. In honor of Stanislaw, she has completed the Trial of Fortune. Here, she has demonstrated that no matter what fate has in store, she has the skill required to overcome. In honor of Mylah, she has completed the Trial of Will. Here, she has overcome pressure to ensure her success. In honor of Dragan, she has completed the Trial of Power. Here, she has demonstrated not only her skill in physical strength, but also her aptitude of mind. We therefore permit the squire, Rosalind Weiss, to proceed forward with their Bogatyr Quest. We have seen that Ser Fredrich has taught her well, taking particular interest in addressing her flaws which will hitherto serve her well in displaying valour and honour. Rosalind is to visit The Oracle, who weaves an understanding of the threads of fate. Herein their meet lies his final trial, and from whatever task she receives we instruct that she return with proof of her victory. We pray for their safe return. GODspeed, Rosalind, may your faith guide you. @CyyanTea
  2. Call to Search Penned by THE KNIGHT PARAMOUNT Naf zwy 22nd hag i Vzmey ag Hynk i 502 E.S. Krusae zwy Kongzem A first priority among our affairs remains the plight of Ve Bej Nikirala: the storm which has plagued Valdev for a number of years, freezing homes, businesses, and stealing away lives. It is apparent that the end to this storm has not yet been seen, and therefore our work continues. Each of us has lost something to this continuing threat on our lives, and though We Persist, as ever we have, we cannot languish in these most bitter of frosts forever. The cultists thought to be connected to Ve Bej Nikirala are currently being sought and though they have yet laid low in our region for some time they ought remain the forefront of our efforts. They have been seen across the continent, from our own dear city of Valdev, to Numendil, to Aaun and to Lurin with the list of sightings having grown over time. It remains Our Duty to aid in this scouring and to coordinate our efforts where reasonable with other protectors of Hanseti-Ruska. It is thus ordered that The Order are to search Aevos from its heights to its depths to find these fiends and their 'heart'; leave no crevice unseen and any oddities ought be relayed without delay.
  3. THE BOGATYR QUEST Rickard Penned by THE KNIGHT PARAMOUNT Naf zwy 3rd hag i Joma ag Umund i 500 E.S. Krusae zwy Kongzem There are few of such intuition that catch our eye as the young squire Rickard. Since his move into the walls of Valdev from his rustic roots in Waltonburg, he has proven ambitious, energised and deeply independent. It has been our pleasure not only to induct Rickard within the Brotherhood of Saint Karl, but also to welcome him upon The Table where he has stood dutiful in his conduct. His learning has taken him far and wide, lending to him not only martial ability, but also bringing upon him the learnings of formality and knightly tradition, in which the latter he has most certainly excelled. Despite his young age he has demonstrated an aptitude for the Order, and so we are pleased to announce that Rickard has promptly completed each of his trials. Valiantly, he has embellished his achievements further through his honourable service in aid against the undead plague in Numendil. We therefore permit the squire, Rickard, to proceed forward with their Bogatyr Quest. No doubt, his service and tutelage under Ser Mikolaj thus far will prove of use in whatever challenge fate now holds for him. Rickard is to visit The Oracle, who weaves an understanding of the threads of fate. Herein their meet lies his final trial, and from whatever task he receives we instruct that he return with proof of his victory. We pray for their safe return. GODspeed, Rickard, may your faith guide you. @GMRO
  4. A SUMMONS OF THE WATCHERS Penned by THE KNIGHT PARAMOUNT Naf zwy 14th hag i Vzmey ag Hynk i 500 E.S. Krusae zwy Kongzem Over the last few years, the appearance and prevalence of those practicing the magick known as ‘Watching’ - the ability to peer beyond the Material - has grown. It has come to the attention of The Table that this practice has strange origins and, furthermore, despite the potential aid it may have to kingdoms that it has largely failed to prove observably beneficent. However, it would be remiss for us to sweep aside these matters or to cast accusatory remarks without full understanding of the circumstances surrounding this ability. Therefore, those performing the magick are invited to come before The Table to clarify the situation in which they find themselves and to answer fully for matters involving their presence.
  5. THE BOGATYR QUEST Skaul MacSkaul Penned by THE KNIGHT PARAMOUNT Naf zwy 3rd hag i Vzmey ag Hynk i 499 E.S. Krusae zwy Kongzem Patience is a quality which Skaul MacSkaul has exhibited over the years - the many years he has been a squire. Serving the kingdom firstly through the Brotherhood, this man has shown that loyalty and honour can grow in all of us - even those with little to their name. Not only has this man shown the grit to be a leader of men within the Brotherhood but he has furthermore shown exemplary sacrifice, the scars of which he bares proudly each day, in our now-aged battles against the Mori’quessir. Moreover, his recent display of aptitude for investigation has displayed a certain acuity which we hope will find usefulness in his quest. Regardless of the time it has taken, we are pleased to announce that Skaul has finally completed each of his trials: In honor of Slavomir, as all squires must, he has completed the Trial of the Warrior. Here, he has proven his ability to current knights in duels. In honor of Ratibor, he has completed the Trial of Faith. Here, he has shown his capability to show the utmost faith to GOD. In honor of Szitibor, he has completed the Trial of Wit. Here, he has demonstrated his ingenuity while disarmed. In honor of Stanislaw, he has completed the Trial of Fortune. Here, he has endured the star-crossed weavings of fate through perseverance. In honor of Mylah, he has completed the Trial of Will. Here, he has bested intense pressure, ensuring his discernment is sound. In light of this, we therefore permit the squire, Skaul MacSkaul, to proceed forward with their Bogatyr Quest which will push him to engage with all he has learnt under the tutelage of Ser Emeric. Given the ongoing trial of Demitrey Novikov, we hereby proclaim that Skaul is to partake in a trial with Demitrey Novikov. May their brotherhood and camaraderie see them through. We instruct that both return with proof of their victory. We pray for their safe return. GODspeed, Skaul, may your faith guide you. @JesterMilk
  6. THE BOGATYR QUEST Demitrey Novikov Penned by THE KNIGHT PARAMOUNT Naf zwy hag 3rd i Vzmey ag Hynk i 498 E.S. Krusae zwy Kongzem Long has Demitrey Novikov served the kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska with passion and zeal as a brother within the Brotherhood of Saint Karl. From his first entrance into the gates of Karosgrad, we knew him to be a man that would remain steadfast in service. Among the ranks, he has shown a drive like few others, pursing Evils with a relentless vigour. Thus, over the years, time and time again he has proven his steadfast demeanor to be the case; albeit, not without the innate ebb and sway of life as we learn and grow. Now, he has flourished to be something of a skilled man: one of investigation, one of the forge, one of the blade. With each tribulation he has faced, he has developed into a greater man than the one that came before and it is presently that we are pleased to announce that Demitrey has passed each of his trials with diligence: In honor of Slavomir, as all squires must, he has completed the Trial of the Warrior. In honor of Joszef, he has completed the Trial of Judgement. Here, he has proven his heart is one of just cause. In honor of Bozidar, he has completed the Trial of Endurance. Here, he manifested his duty of protection. In light of this, we therefore permit the squire, Demitrey Novikov, to proceed forward with their Bogatyr Quest which will push him to engage with all he has learnt under the tutelage of Ser Sterling. Demitrey is to visit The Oracle, who weaves an understanding of the threads of fate. Herein their meet lies his final trial, and from whatever task he receives we instruct that he return with proof of his victory. We pray for their safe return. GODspeed, Demitrey, may your faith guide you. @Nymstra
  7. Be Advised: Dangers Upon the Roads Penned by THE KNIGHT MEYSTER SER AUDO WEISS Naf zwy 19th hag i Msitza ag Dargund i 497 E.S. Va Birodeo Herzenav ag Edlervik, Many dangers plague the lives of GOD's loyal descendents, and there come times when ignorance can be the death of any man, woman or child. Recent years have seen many such dangers, with this day being no different. Steadfast we must hold in these turbulent times taking our utmost procautions against The Dark. It has come to the knowledge of The Knight's Table that an engimatic entity known as the ‘Geistbeast’ is prowling the roadways en route to Númendil. However, the range of this creature is currently uncertain. The nature of the creature is uncertain. Given the present threat that comes with such an elsuive entity, all those seeking to travel are thus strongly advised to do so under armed guard. Any attacks or sightings of unidentified beasts ought to be reported swiftly, listing any knowledge of the: location, demeanor and appearance. Furthermore, it is also to be noted that heretical inflictions have been of increasing to torment outside of Hanseti-Ruska. Cultists have been posing a threat to other kingdoms through the dastardly summonings of otherworldly entities. Any travel to foreign nations therefore calls for the utmost vigilance lest such GODless troglodytes inflict avertable harm. Similarly, an increased awareness is merited within our own lands; the boldness of evil festers with ignorance. Be alert for any strange activities or persons for your own safety and, moreover, ensure the report of any strange happenings to your nearest guard. Let not these threats dissuade the thrift merchant or bold adventurer, but serve as a shield of knowledge so that all may be prepared again The Dark. GOD bless and guide you all in your travels. Krusae zwy Kongzem
  8. The Bogatyr Test Konstanz Barclay KRUSAE ZWY KONGZEM Issued By The Knight Paramount On this 3rd of Wzuvar and Byvca of 488 E.S. Konstanz Barclay has proven himself time and time again. Squiring under Ser Arthur is no easy task, yet Konstanz has prevailed in every trial he has endured. He has shed blood for the kingdom, as is expected of every squire and knight. We are proud to see the steps he has taken alongside his brethren. However Konstanz is unlike the others. He is often seen performing songs for his fellow Haeseni. There is something about his music which inspires us with courage and joy, a unique skill for a squire. Most would say he is suited to being a bard, but Konstanz has proved he is worthy to be in the Order of the Crow. One trial remains for him, the most arduous one yet. We permit Konstanz to take his Bogatyr Trial, may GOD watch over him.
  9. The Bogatyr Test Mikolaj Radonavic @Demavend KRUSAE ZWY KONGZEM Issued By The Knight Paramount On this 3rd of Jula and Piov of 486 E.S. Even with the loss of his mentor, Ser Vanhart the Carrot, Mikolaj has not lost faith. He has continued to work and prove himself. It is not easy being the Oracle, for some would view his gift as a curse, but Mikolaj has not let this affect his demeanor either. He is always willing to assist the Order and the Kingdom in any way he must, he has truly proven his loyalty to us, and such loyalty has not gone unnoticed. If he is anything like his father, Ser Emeric, then I have faith in his abilities. His father has become a dutiful knight, being trusted to guard King Aleksandr’s aunt, may she rest in peace. It is expected that Mikolaj will also grow to be an exemplary knight, one that may be able to inspire and lead others in the future, but that is the future. It is up to Mikolaj to write his own story, to determine how he will grow as a knight. Mikolaj Radonavic is permitted to take his Bogatyr Test. May GOD watch over the squire as he attempts his final test.
  10. The Bogatyr Test Stefan Edvard Barbanov @Nolan_ KRUSAE ZWY KONGZEM Issued By The Knight Paramount On this 3rd of Jula and Piov of 486 E.S. I have watched over the Prince since his birth. He has failed, many, many times, but through all his tribulations he has learned many lessons. I have witnessed him change from a boy to a man, and I could not be prouder of the man he is shaping himself to be, but the road is still unclear for him. While I have my own hopes and ambitions for him, it is his own choice to how he shapes up his story. He must write his own story. Stefan Edvard has shown his dedication to the Order. He has aspired to sit at the Table since he could walk, similar to me. His effort is second to none, and he has withstood my own methods of training. He is a hero-in-training, and has completed all the necessary trials. There is but one trial left for the prince, his most dangerous one yet. It is this one in which I cannot assist him in any way, I can only pray for his success. Stefan Edvard is permitted to take his Bogatyr Trial, may GOD watch over him.
  11. Knights and Alchemists Penned by the Knight Paramount 6th of Vzmey and Hyff, 483 E.S. Honored Knights and Valiant Warriors, I pen these words with great enthusiasm and unwavering conviction, for I have witnessed a convergence of two extraordinary realms: the timeless art of chivalry and the sciences of alchemy. It is with utmost pride and excitement that I invite you to embark upon a remarkable journey of discovery and transformation. In the annals of history, knights have long been revered as stalwart defenders of justice and champions of honor. Our unwavering dedication to the code of chivalry has honed our skills on the battlefield, making us formidable adversaries and protectors of the realm. Yet, as the tides of time shift and new challenges arise, we must adapt and evolve to face them head-on. Enter the realm of alchemy—an enigmatic discipline that delves into the very essence of existence. Alchemy is not mere witchcraft or fanciful tales spun by bards. No, it is a profound understanding of the fundamental forces that shape our world and the potential they hold for those who seek to harness them. Alchemy holds within its grasp the secrets of transmutation, the manipulation of energies, and the creation of elixirs that can bestow untold power upon those who partake. Imagine, noble knights, the possibilities that lie before us when we merge the wisdom of alchemy with the skills we already possess. We become the alchemical knights, warriors armed not only with swords and shields but with the boundless potential of transformation. With alchemy as our ally, we can brew potions that mend our wounds, grant us heightened strength and agility, or imbue our weapons with mystical properties. Our armor can be forged to resist the mightiest blows and render us impervious to the elements. Now, some among us may question the compatibility of alchemy and the knightly path. To those who harbor doubts, I say this: Alchemy is not a betrayal of our traditions, but a natural extension of them. As knights, we have always sought to master every facet of warfare, to embody the ideals of wisdom and courage. Alchemy offers us a gateway to tap into the very essence of creation, to unveil hidden truths and gain a deeper understanding of the forces that shape our world. But let us not forget that the path of alchemy is one of discipline, study, and profound respect. It requires us to humble ourselves before the mysteries of the universe and embark upon a lifelong journey of learning. It is not a power to be wielded recklessly or without caution. Therefore, I implore you, my fellow knights, to approach this endeavor with the utmost reverence and dedication. To facilitate our journey into the realm of alchemy, I call upon all knights who possess knowledge or experience in this art to share their wisdom. Let us unite under a common banner, exchanging insights and techniques, deepening our understanding, and refining our skills. Together, we shall form a brotherhood of alchemical knights, a force that combines the virtues of chivalry with the transformative powers of alchemy. Join me, brave knights, in this quest for enlightenment and empowerment. Let us write a new chapter in the annals of knighthood, where valor and alchemy intertwine, where we become alchemical knights—the epitome of strength, wisdom, and transformation. May our swords be tempered with alchemical fire, and our hearts burn bright with the knowledge that we are custodians of a sacred legacy. Yours in valor and wisdom, Ser Vladimir 'Hothand'
  12. The New World Penned by the Knight Paramount 7th of Tov and Yermey, 480 E.S. We made it here, to Aevos, and our new city of Valdev. Yet for all our turmoil, we are not yet safe. Indeed we have escaped the Mori, and left our old lands in Northern Almaris, but the world we now reside in is very much unclear. It is a new world, and one with many, many mysteries for us to figure out. From the lands to the far east to the beaches of the west, it is still very much unknown. Even the lands immediately beyond our own capital are very much clouded, so we must part the clouds. We must learn what treasures lie within our domain, and what dangers also reside there. My knights, it is important we begin our scouting of the land. As I stated earlier, we made it to our new capital, but what exactly lies here is very much a mystery. It is our duty to uncover this mystery, to help ensure that our fellow Haeseni may walk Our great kingdom as they always have. However, I do not want you all to stop at just our borders. The treasures of this new continent, I want you to seek these out. The mysteries and dangers of Aevos, I want you to solve and confront these as well. It is here we establish our names, further build the legends and stories we have endeavored to keep writing. There is another task which is very pressing to us my knights, our Table. We must get back to one of our most important duties, to train the next generation. With the passing of several of our great knights, our seats are empty, and it is time they be filled. To all my knights, prepare your squires to ascend to knighthood, I would like to see a new generation of knights within eight years (two months) or less. Any longer and I shall personally intervene on behalf of the squires. See it done my knights, let us refill our ranks with new and energetic knights. But to my squires, do not let yourself fall to rust. You have a duty to soak up all the knowledge your mentors have to offer, use us. Seek out your knights, annoy them, that is your duty. Learn the history of our order and kingdom, you must be prepared to take over our seats, and you must assist your knights in their adventures as well as have your own. You are to blame if you do not do anything about a lack of a mentor. We are in a new land, it is a new opportunity for us to rebuild, or rather, build something new. Let us continue on together and discover the mysteries of this new land, here we will write our stories. Ser Vladimir ‘Hothand’ Knight-Paramount and Knight of the Order of the Black Sepulchre
  13. A New Oracle Rises Penned by the Knight Paramount 10th of Msizta and Dargund, 475 E.S. Lady Viorica Kortrevich has served as our Oracle for a long time, and we thank the service she has provided us. The Oracle has always been tasked with providing the final quest squires must undertake to become a knight and Lady Viorica has done that with her prophetical gifts, but as the seasons change, so must we. We thank Lady Viorica for her time but the time has come for someone new to take the mantle of the Oracle, one who is young, willing, and ready to adventure out into the world. With this Mikolaj of Vidaus is appointed to be the new Oracle. A squire underneath the charge of Ser Vanhart, Mikolaj has the same gift Lady Viorica has so it is fitting he be her successor. He is tasked with using his gifts to provide us with the prophecies for our Bogatyr Trials as well as advising the Order on matters of the Arcane, including beasts and the like. We wish young Mikolaj the best of luck in his new role. Ser Vladimir ‘Hothand’ Knight-Paramount and Knight of the Order of the Black Sepulchre
  14. To Become a Bogatyr Penned by the Knight Paramount 6th of Vzmzy and Heff, 472 E.S. The Bogatyrs of the Song of the Black are the knights we all aim to be like. They are our storied predecessors who paved the road for all squires and pages to follow, to transcend. As such, when the time comes for a squire to become a knight, the trials he or she must face should emulate the ordeals the Bogatyr had to face. The trials must challenge the squire, to see if they are worthy of joining our Order. Should a squire fail their pursuit, then they are not fit to wear the armor of a knight. And so I, the Knight Paramount, declare that the method to training and selecting squires will be changed. First off, heirs and peers will no longer be eligible to become knights. Knights must be knights first, they cannot be peers or set to become peers. The path of a squire to a knight will begin with the squire learning the history of the Kingdom and her brave defenders of yore. A squire who does not know their history will not be allowed to ascend to knighthood, it is shameful for a knight to neglect the history of the Order they have committed themselves to. Once they have committed to learning the history, then they will be allowed to test themselves with the trials. Ser Vladimir ‘Hothand’ Knight Paramount and Knight of the Order of the Black Sepulchre Trials of the Bogatyrs: Under this new system, squires will be required to complete five trials to become a knight. Two trials will be of the Knight Paramount’s choosing, one, the Trial of Slavomir, is mandatory for all squires to complete. The last two may be of the squire’s choosing. TRIAL OF SLAVOMIR ‘TWICEDROWNED’ | TRIAL OF THE WARRIOR The one Trial that is mandatory for Squires to complete. Slavomir 'Twicedrowned' was famed for his immortality on the battlefield, and earned his moniker when not even Godan could kill him with two shipwrecks. In his Trial, Squires must prove their skill as a warrior, both with blade, horse, and bow, by facing several of the Knight’s Table in duels. TRIAL OF STANISLAW ‘LONGSUFFERING’ | TRIAL OF FORTUNE Stanislaw 'Longsuffering' lived to see his brothers and family die around him in his service, and forever called himself cursed. The Squire in this Trial is tasked with hunting a common forest bear or accomplishing some task, but must carry the cursed Scabbard of Stanislaw. According to legend, he who carries the Scabbard will always be struck with the worst luck -- arrows shall miss, blades shall break, and boots shall slip. TRIAL OF VLASTA ‘SECONDSIGHT’ | TRIAL OF BALANCE Vlasta 'Secondsight' relied too heavily on diplomacy, and died in an enemy prison as a consequence. In her Trial, the Squire must rely on both wits and strength to succeed in their task. TRIAL OF RATIBOR ‘SKYSENT’ | TRIAL OF FAITH Driven mad in his quest to kill heathens, Ratibor’s Trial teaches Squires to spread Godan’s word without losing one’s soul. In this Trial, Squires must convert a pagan to Canonism, or destroy a site of pagan worship. TRIAL OF VILORIK ‘TURNHEEL’ | TRIAL OF COURAGE Only through abandoning what he loved did Vilorik conquer fear. His Trial shall pit the Squire against a haunted place of horrors from which they must escape. TRIAL OF MYLAH ‘KARLSTRONG’ | TRIAL OF WILL Mylah’s willpower was equal to her infamous stubbornness, but she never balked from a task. In her Trial, Squires are placed in an environment of intense pressure and required to escape. TRIAL OF SZITIBOR ‘SWORDSWORN’ | TRIAL OF WIT Szitibor was among the great Raev warriors with a blade, but as useful as a squire without. Squires must succeed in his Trial by besting a monster in the Attenlund swamps with no weapons. TRIAL OF JOSZEF ‘SEADWELLER’ | TRIAL OF JUDGEMENT Second only to Slavomir as a commander was Joszef 'Seadweller'. To pass his Trial, Squires must exercise kindness and caution as they are presented with a series of petitions which they must answer justly. TRIAL OF DRAGAN ‘SKULLSPLITTER’ | TRIAL OF POWER As progenitor of the Scyflings, Dragan was said to possess the physical might of a Rimetroll, but also the brains of one. In his Trial, Squires must learn that power is the product of brain and brawn by completing a puzzle. TRIAL OF BOZIDAR ‘KINDHEART’ | TRIAL OF ENDURANCE Too warm-blooded to kill, Bozidar instead carried an enormous shield into battle to protect his liege. His Trial tasks Squires with crossing a battlefield, using only a shield and stamina to remain unscathed. THE FINAL TRIAL Once a Squire has passed all their Five Trials of the Bogatyr, there remains one last challenge to conquer before they can be dubbed a Knight. There is no set trial or format for the Final Quest, no inspiring fable or tale of old. This task, a culmination of all a Squire has learned and endured, can be any great task assigned by the Crown or Knight Paramount. Though historically the Final Quest has required the hunting of a great monster, it can include other great undertakings, such as charting a foreign land, reclaiming a lost treasure, slaying a knave of infamy, or some such task. The Squire may accept no help in this task, and the chance of death is high. Should they, however, succeed, they are dubbed a Knight of Haense before the Royal Court. THE MARIAN RETINUE SKRAIJSK ARANYZ IJJIR The Marian Retinue are the personal and soulsworn protectors of the Crown. Though they compose part of the wider Order of the Crow, the Marian Retinue are distinguished from their knightly brothers through their absolute devotion to the safety of the King, Queen, or their children. A Marian Knight is not just a protector who ensures their charge travels safely -- they are their charge’s shadow, their mentor, and their friend. They are privy to secrets and truths their charge would share with no other, and honour compels them to take their own life should their charge die in their care. THE MARIAN RECKONING The Marian Reckoning is the special trial an aspiring Marian Knight must undertake when they are given a charge to protect. In the Reckoning, the charge - whether they be a new-born heir or an aged Princess whose previous Knight has died - is placed in a situation of serious and real danger, such as being caged above a pit of snakes or wolves or abandoned in the blizzards of the Rimeveld, and the aspiring Marian Knight must save them as proof of their commitment to the charge, and their capability to protect them no matter the cost. DUBBING KURSAIN KAROS CAEZK I VE KRAWN I VE SANRUV KOSSAR A Squire who completes their Five Trials of the Bogatyr and the Final Quest shall kneel before the Crown and the Royal Court to speak the following vow and be dubbed a Knight: Crown: Do you, [Name], swear now upon the blade of Gaius Marius, the first Hochmeister of our earliest order, that all you say now is true, and that you have come to receive your Knighthood? Squire: I do. Crown: The truth is the burden of all Knights, one that only the diligent can bear. Will you be true in all things, even if it may lead to your demise? Squire: I will. Crown: To bear this burden, a Knight must be strong. Will you be strong of spirit, and resilient to all forms of temptation? Squire: I will. Crown: In order to be strong, a Knight must be brave. Will you be courageous against your enemies, and defend the helpless even at the cost of your life? Squire: I will. Crown: In order to be brave, a Knight must have honour and loyalty, lest he fall to sin. The Knight must be above reproach, their honour and allegiance unquestioned. Will you be honourable and loyal to Godan, to your King, to your Kongzem, and your people? Squire: I will. Crown: When you take this oath, you shall no longer be a man/woman. You shall be a Knight, invested with holy responsibility by Godan Himself. Do you accept this holy mission? Squire: I do. Crown: And so you swear to be brave, strong, and true, as all Knights must be? Squire: I so swear. Crown: Do you swear to be honourable and loyal, and to never forsake your vows nor your allegiance? Squire: I so swear. Crown: And do you swear to uphold all which is good and holy, and to honour Godan in all your actions? Squire: I so swear. Crown: Then I shall you to your oath, and if ever you part with it, may you also part with your life. I name you Ser/Dame [Name] of the Order of the Crow/Marian Retinue. May Godan keep you and uphold. Rise now, not as a mere subject, but as a Knight of Haense. At the conclusion of the ceremony, the Knight is given their personal weapon, forged by the Royal Smith, as their badge of office.
  15. The Final Quest of Dame Giovanna and Ser Jakob 1st of Tov and Yermey, 472 E.S. It pains me to announce that two of my knights have departed from the Order of the Crows. Dame Giovanna ‘Serpantsbane’ and Ser Jakob ‘Ivansbane’ both defended the Kingdom with honor and valor. Dame Giovanna and I squired underneath the same mentor, Ser Walton, it pains me to see her and Ser Jakob leave us so soon, but nevertheless, I am proud of the service they have given to the kingdom. This however, is not the end of their knighthood. Now they will embark on their greatest test yet, their greatest adventure. It is one for which there is no return until it is our time to join them. I, Ser Vladimir ‘Hothand’, permit both of these knights to embark on their final quest. May Godan bless them both and may they find success on their trial. I await the day we meet again so you can tell me of your successes. Signed, Ser Vladimir ‘Hothand’ Knight Paramount
  16. What is a Knight Penned by the Knight Paramount 6th of Gronna and Droba It has always been a childhood dream of mine to one day be a knight of the Kingdom of Hanseti and Ruska. I always remember hearing stories about the deeds knights would do and the adventures these brave knights always went on. I knew this is what I wanted to be, to have my name sung from the crowds, for Vladimir var Ruthern to be a name known to everyone. I wanted to be a hero. Now I am a knight, and I live according to the ideals I have set for myself. Now I must ask myself as Knight Paramount, ‘What is a Knight?’ What ideals do I wish for my knights, squires, and pages to live by as they grow and progress? Here are some of the ideals I aspire for my knights to embody: A knight must be chivalrous, they are to defend the land and its inhabitants. They must be willing to shield the defenseless. A knight must be loyal, we are to defend the Kingdom to our last breaths. We cannot die as long as the Kingdom stands. A knight must be heroic, the people should look to us. We should be models for children and people to aspire to be like. When the Kingdom calls, We will answer. That is our duty. I will not let my knights fall to complacency, rust will not be what kills us. If by the time I have resigned or perished, and there are not multiple knights to take my place and lead the order to greater heights than I could, then I will have failed in my job. It is my wish for the knights who will rise underneath me to be better than I. I am merely just the next chapter in this tale, and I will make sure the next chapter is even better than mine. Signed, Ser Vladimir ‘Hothand’ Knight Paramount
  17. The Bogatyr Test Audo Weiss KRUSAE ZWY KONGZEM Issued By The Knight Paramount On this 6th of Gronna and Droba of 472 E.S. There are not many who serve the Crown with more zeal or fervor than Audo Weiss. From the day his family first entered Our great Kongzem to now, Audo has been a loyal member of the Brotherhood and of the Order of the Crow. He has shown a willingness to put himself in danger to protect his fellow Haeseni, and a dedication to more than just defending the land. Even ennobled, he still serves with his comrades and considers them his equal. Audo has many times demonstrated the qualities we seek within our knights. He is out there fighting as a page and squire. We look forward to seeing how Audo grows and seeing what he is capable of achieving in the future. With all being said, we, the Order of the Crow permit Audo Weiss to visit the Oracle. We permit Audo Weiss to take his Bogatyr Trial. Godan bless Audo on his trial.
  18. THE BOGATYR TEST Cirilla KRUSAE ZWY KONGZEM Issued by The Knight Paramount On this 12th of Wzuvar and Byvca of 469 E.S. Cirilla has been a squire of the order of the crow for a long time. During such times she has experienced trial and tribulation. Her faith through all of this and her loyalty and willingness to serve the crown has only been seen to grow. From accusations to betrayal Cirilla has weathered it and come out stronger as well as taking the lessons imparted from these and quickly grasping them. We therefore permit the squire, Cirilla, to proceed forward with her Bogatyr test. The Bogatyr test will put everything she has learnt under Ser Jakob’s tutelage to task. Cirilla is to visit the Oracle, to be given her test. We pray for her safe return and may GOD guide her hand.
  19. THE BOGATYR TEST Baldrum Colborn KRUSAE ZWY KONGZEM Issued by The Knight Paramount On this 11th of Wzuvar and Byvca of 469 E.S. It is rare to have a squire with as piety and dedication to their service as Baldrum Colborn. The man has shown this dedication to service through his career as both a squire as well as an officer in the BSK. This has been a consistent effort undertaken by him and has not gone unnoticed by the order. He exhibits bravery, determination, and even some recklessness when needed with his strength of character and service so far. We therefore permit the squire, Baldrum Colborn, to proceed forward with his Bogatyr test. The Bogatyr test will put everything he has learnt under Dame Giovanna’s tutelage to task. Baldrum is to visit the Oracle, to be given his test. We pray for his safe return and may GOD guide his hand. GOTT MIT UNS His Excellency, Ser Conrad “The Bulwark” Barclay, Knight Paramount of Hanseti-Ruska
  20. KNIGHTLY COUNCIL ATILAN BISHOP Issued by the KNIGHT PARAMOUNT On this 5th day of Tov and Yermey of 462 E.S VA BIRODEO HERZENAV AG EDLERVIK Over these last years, many issues have come before the Knight’s Table in relation to Ser Atilan Ironhead. As Knight Paramount, I, in tandem with the Meyster Knight and Knight Martial, have considered the substantiality of these claims and called the Ironhead Knight to a tribunal before us only just last month. In light of this tribunal, it is with heavy heart that I find the Ironhead Knight guilty of violating two tenets of the Code of Chivalry, namely: To protect, and serve, the weak and defenceless from the evils of the world To prove one’s self through discipline, loyalty, and respect I have determined that the Ironhead Knight’s inconsistent service and defence of the weak in turn gives rise to his lack of discipline and respect. Therefore, the Knight’s Table sees fit to revoke Ser Atilan’s knighthood. I do not doubt this man’s honour and loyalty to the Crown and the Kongzem, and I thus hope to see him better himself in this chapter of his life. It is hereby ordered that Atilan Bishop shall no longer go by the title of Ser nor the Ironhead Knight, for he is a knight no longer, and dismissed from his Seat upon the Knight’s Table. GOTT MIT UNS His Excellency, Ser Conrad “The Bulwark” Barclay, Knight Paramount of Hanseti-Ruska Damar lifsti va Edlerviki, His Royal Majesty, Georg, by the Grace of Godan, King of Hanseti and Ruska, Grand Hetman of the Army, Hochmeister of the Order of the Crow, Prince of Bihar, Dules, Lahy, Muldav, Solvesborg, Slesvik and Ulgaard, Duke of Carnatia and Vanaheim, Margrave of Korstadt, Rothswald and Vasiland, Count of Alban, Siegrad, Werdenburg, Alimar, Baranya, Graiswald, Karikhov, Karovia, Kaunas, Kavat, Kovachgrad, Kvasz, Markev, Nenzing, Torun, and Toruv, Viscount of Varna, Baron of Esenstadt, Kraken’s Watch, Kralta, Krepost, Lorentz, Rytsburg, Buck, Thurant and Astfield, Lord of the Westfolk, Protector and Lord of the Highlanders, etcetera.
  21. The Knight Council: A Summons for Ser Atilan Bishop @Awesam5555 Issued by The Knight Paramount On this 15th of Msitza ag Dargrund of 461 E.S. Over the last few months, Ser Atilan Bishop has found himself within a multitude of accusations, all the way from a grave mistrial to harassing Haeseni children in the streets. If these actions hold their own weight, then they do not befit the honorable and respectable station of a Knight of the Order of the Crow. Ser Atilan Bishop has been called to a formal hearing within the Duma to plead his case. Let him also do so within the order. IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, That Ser Atilan Bishop shall attend a hearing of Knights upon the 15th of Wzuvar ag Byvca, 462 E.S. wherein it will be determined if any actions proposed bear scrutiny. Should these accusations survive a thorough examination, the consequences shall be presented in full, including the full removal from Knight’s Table and a stripping of the Knightly rank. [Thursday, 7pm EST] IV JOVEO MAN, His Royal Majesty Georg I by the Grace of Godan, King of Hanseti and Ruska, Grand Hetman of the Army, Prince of Bihar, Dules, Lahy, Muldav, Solvesborg, Slesvik and Ulgaard, Duke of Carnatia and Vanaheim, Margrave of Korstadt, Rothswald and Vasiland, Count of Alban, Alimar, Baranya, Graiswald, Karikhov, Karovia, Kaunas, Kavat, Kovachgrad, Kvasz, Markev, Nenzing, Torun, and Toruv, Viscount of Varna, Baron of Esenstadt, Kraken’s Watch, Kralta, Krepost, Lorentz, Rytsburg, Thurant and Astfield, Lord of the Westfolk, Protector of the Highlanders, etcetera. 22. THE BOGATYR TEST Atilan Bishop Issued by The Knight Paramount On this 10th of Jula and Piov of 459 E.S. Despite much controversy throughout their time as a squire in the Order of the Crow and beyond, the Order of the Crow has seen growth from the squire known as Atilan Bishop. With this growth thanks to the efforts of Ser Sebastien and Ser Vlad we have approved Atilan Bishop to head forth onto his quest. We therefore permit the squire, Atilan Bishop, to proceed forward with his Bogatyr test. The Bogatyr test will put everything he has learnt under Ser Sebastien’s tutelage to task. Atilan is to visit the Oracle, to be given his test. We pray for his safe return and may GOD guide his hand. GOTT MIT UNS His Excellency, Ser Conrad “The Bulwark” Barclay, Knight Paramount of Hanseti-Ruska
  23. THE BOGATYR TEST Ada Colborn Issued by The Knight Paramount On this 10th of Jula and Piov of 459 E.S. Ada Colborn has been a squire for longer than most of her peers due to the Beast of Dobrov having taken her eyes when no others would make the sacrifice she would in order to embody what it means to protect others as a knight. Such idealism is something which is always welcomed in The Order of The Crow as it has sprouted through slow and steady improvement of character over time. It is this slow and steady growth of character under Ser Conrad that gives us the confidence to send her forth on her quest. We therefore permit the squire, Ada Colborn, to proceed forward with her Bogatyr test. The Bogatyr test will put everything she has learnt under Ser Conrad’s tutelage to task. Ada is to visit the Oracle, to be given her test. We pray for her safe return and may GOD guide her hand.
  24. Crow’s Watch Towers Issued by The Knight Paramount On this 12th of Joma and Umund of 456 E.S. A few days ago, King Karl and Ser Conrad, the Knight Paramount, discussed in length about the great advancements and strides the Order of the Crows were taking in protecting the Kingdom of Hanseti-Ruska. Over the last decade or two, the Kingdom has been plagued with a multitude of different trials and tribulations that seek to tear at the very fabric of this great nation. However, it is in part, due to the consistent, stalwart actions of the Knights in the Order of the Crow, that peace has been sustained, whether it be during times of war, negotiations with other nations, or in other smaller conflicts. As a reward for their service, the King and Paramount have issued a series of fortified towers to be taken over or constructed where needed. These structures, towers that would be placed all across Haense, would serve a multitude of purposes, such as fortifications for sieges and more diverse training grounds. The Knight’s of the Crow maintain these structures and keep them occupied with whatever is needed so that they are functional and useful. It is our hope that this will give us a critical edge in the days to come, both as a defensive tool, and an offensive one. IT IS HEREBY ORDERED, Those knights of the Order of the Crow, as members of the Table, shall hereby take up a tower to decorate the interior of, and with permission of the Knight Paramount, change the exterior of the tower to properly alter them. IV JOVEO MAN, His Royal Majesty KARL III by the Grace of Godan, King of Hanseti and Ruska, Grand Hetman of the Army, Prince of Bihar, Dules, Lahy, Muldav, Solvesborg, Slesvik and Ulgaard, Duke of Carnatia and Vanaheim, Margrave of Korstadt, Rothswald and Vasiland, Count of Alban, Alimar, Baranya, Graiswald, Karikhov, Karovia, Kaunas, Kavat, Kovachgrad, Kvasz, Markev, Nenzing, Torun, and Toruv, Viscount of Varna, Baron of Esenstadt, Kraken’s Watch, Kralta, Krepost, Lorentz, Rytsburg, Thurant and Astfield, Lord of the Westfolk, Protector of the Highlanders, etcetera. His Excellency, Ser Conrad “The Bulwark” Barclay, Knight Paramount of Hanseti-Ruska Lord, Ser Sébastien “The White Sun” de Savoie, Deputy Palatine and Meyster Knight of Hanseti-Ruska Lord, Ser Vladimir “Hothand” Var Ruthern, Knight Martial of Hanseti-Ruska
  25. THE BOGATYR TEST Vladrik of Jerovitz Issued by The Knight Paramount On this 12th of Joma and Umund of 456 E.S. Vladrik of jerovitz’s journey through squire hood had been long and tedious. He has had to go through his own trials such as family drama, which has often pulled him away from the duties we hold to as Knight. However, throughout this he has shown his ability to learn from mistakes and have a thirst for knowledge. It is with this growth that we have seen him refine his methods under the knight Ser Barley who has trained him well. We therefore permit the squire, Vladrik of Jerovitz, to proceed forward with his Bogatyr test. The Bogatyr test will put everything he has learnt under Ser barley’s tutelage to task. Vladrik is to visit the Oracle, to be given his test. We pray for his safe return and may GOD guide his hand. GOTT MIT UNS His Excellency, Ser Conrad “The Bulwark” Barclay, Knight Paramount of Hanseti-Ruska
