Markus takes a closer look at the bounty, notes down something on multiple pieces of paper. He then whistles loudly and soon after a hawk arrives and perches on his shoulder. Markus pets the hawk before giving it the papers. The hawk then flies away and Markus backs away, with a wild grin on his face

His parents abandoned him and his brother Nakram when they were little. So they had to grow up alone in the streets of Oren. Being the eldest of the 2, he had to provide for both of them. This wasn't easy considering the circumstances but Nakram always seemed to find stuff that was valuable, but being the unlikeable person Nakram is, he couldn't manage to sell any of it. Markus however was a very sociable and persuading person, so he managed to sell the stuff without to much trouble. They managed to make a living that way. Markus found an interest in potions and decided to set off to learn more about it, and make money of course
