Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) *Upon stepping into the tent, he’d look around examining his surroundings before making eye contact with the old hag. Not saying a word, he’d sit himself down onto the cushion in front of him, letting out a sigh and taking a moment before speaking any words.* ‘’My story?..’’ *He’d briefly pause, letting his thoughts fill his mind before continuing to indulge in the old hag anymore. His voice would sound raspy and deeper then it actually was as if he’d just been recently coming off a sickness. He would continue examining his surrounds and not be giving the old hag his full attention just yet* ‘’I can’t promise it’ll be all too interesting but if you insist. The names Vulred... Vulred Venkas. I’m the only son of parents whose names I don’t feel inclined to share. I spent most of my life living deep within the forest, not spending much time outside of it. My childhood was normal, or at least what I think is normal.’’ *He’d shift his position into a more comfortable one and clasp his hands together, making it obvious he was ready to give his full attention to the old hag . It's clear the old hag’s attention has been on him fully the second he had walked into the tent* ‘’The older I got the more curious I became about other places outside of home. Eventually I got old enough to travel on my own and decided I wanted to see what other places the world held. I became excited about the places I could go and see for once. I knew it surely wouldn’t be easy but I decided to leave home… not permanently but just for enough time where I can see new places and meet new people.’’*He’d let out a cough, a reminder of the sickness he was finally overcoming* ‘’Now I haven’t been traveling for too long, the places I have been to and people I have met so far don't matter enough to talk about. But it's all led up to me walking into this tent and sitting down here in front of you.’’ *He’d take a pause, allowing himself a second to breathe as he’d been talking a while now* ‘’I do miss the forest I call home, but I’m not sure I'm ready just yet to go back. I have enjoyed exploring new places I’ve never seen before and know there’s more for me to see. And who knows, maybe one day I'll wander into another place and tell my story to someone else and mention the old hag I met in a tent and told my story to. *He’d give the old hag a slight smirk upon the remark he just made* ‘’And when I feel ready, head back home and tell my family about the places outside of the forest. *His attention would fall away from the old hag, signaling he was just about done telling her his story*
