  1. A missive could be found carelessly scattered around most non human towns. To the Mali'ker and dwarves, I come from Ramasar and seek to collect recipes here in Aveos. They can be passed down through family or a staple of the culture. Or not. Anything qualifies, just desiring to learn the foods that could've possibly nourished my parents once ago. If you want, you're also welcome to tell me what the recipe means to you or how it's best eaten. Or not. If you have recipes to share, feel free to send me a bird. Or not. Signed, Kymil Kunu (_Winne_)
  2. Fee read the missive, pulling out her quill with a shrug. She had little luck entering elven societies so far and she doubted the high elves would be any easier. Still, she wasn't one to quit in the pursuit of knowledge. She quickly filled out the missive before packing her bag. She'd visit the city and ask in person if she had to. Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” "Well, I don't have much of a story yet. Oh, that's a lovely fern you have." Fee slid into the seat, eyes darting around the tent, taking in the various plants and baubles. "This place isn't that dingy. I've yet to see a moss carpet as nice as this one and the candles are warm...and cozy...and-". Smoothing out her dress, she gave the old woman a sheepish smile. "Sorry, I tend to fall asleep quite easily. I suppose that's the core of my story if you're still curious. I've spent most of my life sleeping. The orphanage doctors could never figure out what's wrong with me, but I liked to theorize I got it from my parents. They were botanists or, so I was recently told." "You know what else I was told? They dreamed of recording every plant known to man. Flora adventurers so to speak. Isn't that fun?" Fee leaned in, slowly growing more animated as she spoke. "I've spent my life at the orphanage, too afraid to go anywhere lest I fall asleep in an inconvenient area. But I fall asleep more and more every year. Nothing keeps it at bay except movement. Must be the adrenaline or something." "So, I woke up on my 20th and made a decision then and there." She clapped, nodding her head. "If I'm doomed to fall asleep forever, I might as well accomplish the dream of my parents. I'm going to record and collect flowers all around the map! A bouquet of sorts for myself before I doze off indefinitely." "Sorry, was that morbid? I've been told no good ever comes out when I open my mouth." She flushed, cringing slightly. "So...do you know where I can find any plants besides moss around here?"
