Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) Example: "Me? I, uh…" you say, gripping your belt nervously. You glance at the cushion, then back to the hag. The heavy smell of damp earth and wax fills the tent. "Not sure what you think I’ve done, but I’m just a smith passing through," you mumble, your voice steady but guarded. The candles flicker, and the hag leans closer, her piercing eyes narrowing. "Oh, just a smith, are you? We’ll see about that." The air feels heavy with her words, and you instinctively grip the tools at your side, bracing for what’s to come.
