Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy old town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. come, Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.”
((How do you respond?))
??? sits down on the cushion in confusion "what do ya mean you've been expecting me?" ??? said in confusion "I didn't even know I would be here until about an hour ago." ??? said, the old hag says "I've been expecting you Kelsie" "um, my names not Kelsie, ya old hag, its Thalindra first of all, second I haven't met you before in my life, so don't go acting like you know me," ??? now known as Thalindra says "Now don't go getting angry at me young lady" the old hag starts "Young girl!?! I am 18 thank you very much" The young woman huffs before standing up and beginning to storm out "Wait!" shout the old hag "At least tell me your story!" "Fine I will tell you a bit!" the young woman says in annoyance "I grew up in a house in the woods, reading fantasy-fiction books and a few history books here and there, ya happy now!?!" the young woman says before going to walk away before the old hag gets up and grabs their arm "can you please tell me more?" the old hag asks, "fine" says the young woman "I was an only child and I was quite energetic, in fact I was so energetic that my parents didn't quite know what to do with me. Also how in the great wonders of the world did you get me this mad? you barely said anything to me" says the young woman, the old hag says "I don't know either young lady, now will you get on with your story" the old hag says in a hurry "fine" says the young woman "I left home in a fit of rage about a month back, because my parents didn't want to let me leave for another decade or two at least" says the young woman in a huff "the nerve of them" mutters the young woman, "anyways I wanted to go out and learn more about the world then what was in the 2-3 history books we had and what was told to me by my parents that happened in the last decade or so. I am also usually quite timid, I don't know what came over me to make me leave home like that, anyways that's about all you could possibly need to know" says the young woman in a huff" "Wait" says the young woman "Why did I tell you all this?" "magic" says the old hag "But! before you go asking me how it works or how to teach you, the answer is no" The old hag says "But wh...!?!" says the young woman "NO!!!" yells the old woman, "you can go now, you brat" "hey!" yells the young woman "I am not a brat!" "go away now will you!?!" snaps the old hag "Fine! I will." says the young woman.
