Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) Example: "Oh, Me! Well there isn't much to say about me. Not to say that I am a bore! Why I would never say that about anyone, not even myself. Oh what to say, what to say." Agathe fiddles with her hands, absentmindedly scratching her thumb with her index finger as she clutches her hands together "I suppose it is a bit of a tale for why I have journeyed this far. To make matters short, I have come to live my life. On my own that is!" Agathe beams as she glances towards the entrance of the tent to the dim outdoors "I spent most of my life cooped up you see! my father was a merchant, a successful I would surely say! He'd tell me stories of all he'd seen.. well not exactly him telling me specifically but I would often hear his regaling his wondrous tales to his clients" Agathe pauses a second, her face scrunching up in thought "Not exactly his tales usually either, now that I am dwelling on it, my father didn't travel far himself, he stayed reasonably close of course! No doubt to stay near family.. But still those stories I overheard inspired me! I too wish to see all I can! It has been such a delight so far and I have learned so much! I've learned you can't just drink water from rivers. I never knew it was unsafe, I never had to drink anything that didn't come from the kitchen staff. It's been a lot of work so far, all this walking, washing my own clothes, buying my own food, and the mud around here is.. quite plentiful! But I know I will learn fast. I mean how hard can it be, I have gotten this far.
