Max Octavius Hill

Your character has just arrived in a swampy, dim town. As they look around, their gaze is met with shacks and cabins. It smells of rotted wood and wet moss. They duck and step into a tattered tent, illuminated by a series of candles suspended in the air. At the back of the tent, an old hag raises her head, “What brings you to this dingy town? She begins, then pauses to study your face—”Ah, it’s you. I’ve been expecting you. Sit,” she gestures at a cushion, “Tell me your story.” ((How do you respond?)) " Well ummm ok?" Max says in confusion "I'll make it short though because John and me are just passing by." Max bounces a little bit on his seat he thinks about how it doesn't feel like the log he would sit on in his village. Max then goes on to say " My memory is a little messed up but I remember seeing a big green Orc with steel armor he was chaining my Ma and my little sister Elizabeth up to get token away I peaked my head out from behind the log I was in when I saw this I knew to save my little sister so I drew the string on my bow back that my father gave me before he passed away and aimed at the big orc whoosh my arrow went right into his leg while he was distracted I ran to my little sister but then bang right in my gut I flew into a tree the other guard slowly raised his bat but then my Ma kicked him right in the rib he swung his bat at her like he did to me. She told me to run as I was running I tripped and hit my head I felt a pair of arms pick me up and heard my sister screaming my name but I couldn't help her now this figure that saved me brought me to his carriage and then I fell uncouncious. When I woke up I was swore the boards in the carraige weren't that smooth and it was pretty rough on the roads. I got up and went to go peak at the driver a human why would a human help me? I waited a minute to ask him because I was scared. I tapped him on the shoulder hey kid the human told me I replied back with a quiet h.. h.. hi. He told me to sit down on the bench next to him I asked him what his name was and he said John then he asked mine I told him I'm Max Hill. After that awkward moment I asked him why he saved me he told me that the orcs were destroying some towns and John's was also one of them he told me how he got away like me and said he couldn't let this happen again so he followed the army in the shadows but when he realized they were already attacking my village John drove fast then at one point he saw me running so he drove towards my direction and ran to me picked me up and ran back. Wow I said realizing how similar we are then he asked me how I grew up. Well I grew up in a small tree town with my mother and father once I was. three my little sister Elizebeth was born she was amazing. Me and Elizebeth would play all the time but when I turned 5 my father died at his funeral his mother gave him her scarf to hug because dad would always touch her scarf because of how soft it was and for the rest of my life I never took it off. Growing up me and Elizebeth would play fight a lot to with are the iron swords that are grandfather made us mom said it was dangerous but grandpa said it will help I still have my sword right now so cool to I guess because it helps me remember Elizebeth. On my nineteenth birthday is when I meant you and everything went wrong. My ma and sister were singing happy birthday then rumble rumble we look off the balcony of are tree and saw a ton a huge orcs chopping down our trees with gigantic axes. Are tree started falling so I grabbed on to a vine and told Elizebeth and my mom to jump to but they didn't and the tree fell I swung down to get them and that's basically everything until I meant you John once I was done telling that to John we arrived at a town I was happy because I have only been eating bread in the back of his carriage. When we walked in I gagged because of the smell of rotted wood but then I ran around looking at all the stuff and going i to the shops and tents then I ducked into here and am telling this story to you right now." After Max finished his story he gripped on to the scarf and said "I will now be on my way then ma'am John is probably wondering where I'm at." Then John and Max rode in Johns carriage with two beautiful appaloosas pulling us to the next town to make sure no horrible orcs will ruin another persons life.

"Well my memorys a little foggy but I remember flames lots of flames and screaming I couldn't breath to much smoke AHHH!" Max's head rings and he gets a flashback of his little sister Elizabeth and him playing then it flashes to when a big green orc was grabbing Elizabeth and his mother then he remembers getting hit by and orc and flying into a tree because he shot the orc and ran to his sister. "Are you okay the lady?" asks "I'm fine" Max says and keeps talking. "I was running and running to get away I recall seeing huge orcs with swords slashing at my people and they were burning my village. As I was running I tripped thump. I was scared then dizzy as my eyes were closed I remember feeling warm arms picking me up and making feeling safe then hearing the things that saved me yell go go go. They snapped what sounded like a whip then I heard hooves galloping I dosed off after I heard silence no arrows whistling through the air or the crashing of boulders in the soil. I woke up on a wooden floor with a white quilt on top of me I looked around and realized I was in a carriage I walked up to the front and peaked a look at the thing that was driving me it was a human man. Why would a human help me right? I tapped on his shoulder to ask that question and then I realized that was a bad idea I spooked him and he jumped making the reins to the horse snap up the horse reared up and the carriage detached from the horse! The man turned his horse and galloped toward me but the carriage was to fast so I lost him. I was freaking out I held on to the sides of the carriage and waited for it to stop. When it did stop it tipped and I flew out. I stood up and looked around. This is when I arrived here I walked accsidently bumping into a couple people they were all getting angry at me so I ran into this tent and that's how I meant you ma.. ma ma'am and now I'm here informing you about this story." Max smiled a bit feeling reasured that he could tell all this stress to someone. Then after telling that story Max got up and got ready to leave and go on his journey to hopefully find more elves and one day save his sister and mother from the orcs that he disliked but every time max thought of how he disliked the orcs because of what they did to his family he remembered that before his Pa passed away he told Max that everyone is different so that Max would know even if someone does something bad from that race it doesn't mean the entire race is bad. Max always remembers this as an important memory and it helps him calm down and remember peace is right.
