Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself: Hi, my name is Scott Aufderheide. I'm a sophomore at the University of Notre Dame, and am studying Computer Science. I've really loved the fantasy genre for my whole life, starting with books and movies, and then moving up to video games and RP. How much time could you be on the server weekly?: I would probably average between 8 and 12 hours a week. How long have you played minecraft?: I have been playing for almost five months now. What do you know about roleplaying? How long have you been doing it? What kind?: The most important thing about roleplaying is creating your character and sticking to it. I have been roleplaying for about three years on the World of Warcraft RP server: The Scryers. Before that I roleplayed with a group in Runescape. What do you expect this server will be like?: I expect a mature group of players who will stick by the roleplaying atmosphere. On WoW, there is no server regulation so nonRPers often join the RP server and ruin the place a bit, and I'm am hoping that with this application process, that is something that won't happen here. Other than that, I expect a lot of adventure and fun! What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?: This would be my first multiplayer server on minecraft, let alone RP server. I have been looking for a good RP server almost since I started playing minecraft, but this is the first one to look like something I am interested in. Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules? What about the lore?: Yes, I have. I like the lore very much. It is a good foundation for an RP world. While it is a little skimpy (sorry, I love detail and in depth stories), I really like the fact that players have a hand in crafting future lore. Name the 4 races on this server: humans, elves, dwarves, and orcs How did you hear about us?: I was actually looking at LB photo realism texture pack and saw the creators support for this server there. What is your The Lord of Craft forum account name?: Dingurth In-Character: Character Name: Dingurth Randir What is your Race?: Human Lordofthecraft.net/forum forum account: Dingurth Biography: Dingurth is from the house of Randir, which was a minor noble house until recently. About a century ago, the house of Randir was in decent standing in Oren for being a small house. Due to economic problems that were magnified by political and military climate at the time, the House of Randir began its long but inevitable downward spiral. By the time Dingurth was born, all that was left was some moderate wealth, which only put them at slightly better than middle-class, and the family pride. Dingurth's father decided that the best chance of having the house of Randir rise once again would be to devote the rest of the family's resources to Dingurth's education. As he grew up, Dingurth was taught in many fields of study from the history of Aegis to combat. His family traveled often as is father tried to find the best teachers no matter where in the world it took them. Because of this, Dingurth saw much of the world and was instilled with a sense of adventure. He spent time with the dwarves of Kal'Urguan learning of mining and ores, and the deep things of the earth. He fell in love with the society of the elves and their beautiful city of Laurelin. He even spent time learning combat from the fierce orc warriors. Of all his lessons and skills however, Dingurth had a talent for magic above all else. Now, as an adult, Dingurth is the last of his house. With the family wealth spent on his education, he is now a wanderer in the world with only his vast intellect and skills to serve him. Unfortunately for his father, he does not have political dreams of rising into the ranks of the nobility again. He is a bit arrogant, but his pride is the only thing to defend and pronounce his family name. His love for the world was grown from his many travels as a youth, and he continues to wander and explore all he can. He is resentful of authority, and stubborn. He does not see that he owes his allegiance to the king, and believes in his own freedom. This mixed with his lust to wander, has made him somewhat solitary. He has few friends, but those he has are good ones and spread across the world. He is loyal to the death. Dingurth wishes to continue his studies somewhat apart from the rest of humanity. While he is not fond of everything his race does, and despite his attitude, he sees himself as a protector of the world. He is a natural leader, but shies away from most leadership positions. He is only willing to lead others as a last resort, or if he thinks the current leadership is unfit. While there are those who have mastery of magic, and revel in their power to destroy, Dingurth prefers preservation and creation. He knows though that while magic is fascinating, it sometimes lacks practical application. For this reason, he has also continued his training in other areas that better suit him for working in the world. He is good with a sword, but prefers the bow. As his main trade, when he cannot create and build things, he mines. For now, the bachelor life fits him well, but deep down he has a romantic side and does wish for something more stable... one day. Dingurth is ambitious and looks forward to the rest of his journey in the world. Character Age: 25 Character Appearance: Dingurth is just over six feet tall. He has long brown hair and a beard. Though he is scholarly and often wears robes, he is physically strong as well. Character Personality: Takes pride in himself and his family name, perhaps a bit too much pride which makes him seem a little arrogant. He believes in his own freedom and does not like authority in general. He loves to see the world and learn new things. With his skills, he dreams of creating a better world. While well intentioned in his ideals, he is also practical. He is a solitary person and it takes time to gain his trust and become his friend. Once he accepts someone though, he is as loyal as they come. Your ambitions: To explore the world, live life, have adventure, and achieve greatness. Can your character read or write?: Yes, both. Can your character mine?: Yes. Are you a capable builder?: Yes. Can you wield a sword?: Yes. Enjoy Farming?: Not at all. Does your character have any special skills?: From traveling the world, he is familiar with all the races of the world, especially the elves, and has friends among each.
