  1. I think this is the start of a very good pack of lore. If you developed this a bit more, I'm sure that the LT would seriously consider it.

I'm not sure what plans they already have for existing groups when we reach 5.0, but it would be awesome if this was one of them.

I would be happy to help you reformat/develop/add pictures to your lore, if you would like that.

It's excellent for community members, such as yourself, to contribute, and I appreciate that you're proposing this idea as a relatively new LotC member!

    +1

  2. MC name: BGBuster

    Forum name: BGBuster

Skype Name: Drakinroth (will show up as "Zac (BGBuster)")

What is your timezone? Pacific Time (California)

How do you wish to work on the wiki? (Media, proof checking, writing, etc): I would go through already existing articles on the Wiki and make sure they have correct spelling/grammar, and that they are also filled with as much information as possible.

My goal on the wiki team is to create pages and histories for things that weren't documented, or weren't documented correctly. There are tons of events chronicled here on the forums that never received a wiki page, character histories, items, and interactions as well. Filling out these histories will further cement Lord of the Craft's history as a whole.

Have you worked on the, or any wiki before?: Yes, I've worked on the LotC wiki before.

Which lore are you most familiar with? Ascended, Undead, Orcish, and Shamanic lore are my specialties, but in my endeavors I will be looking at the forum posts from members of all races and creating articles that reflect their perspectives.

Please showcase your abilities with either:

Brunhyldir finally found a flat place in the desert sands, and he plopped his knapsack on the ground. He then walked for quite a long time, looking and pacing this way and that. After a good hour, he had produced several large sandstone rocks, having found them all around the desert caves.

Placing each of these rocks in a rough circle, the orc opened his knapsack, searching inside. He pulled forth many of the trinkets stored in his bag, such as the torch, wicker, cactus green, and other plants he had gathered. He dropped them on the sand beside him, being careful especially not to prick himself with the small cactus.

Brunhyldir carefully sorted some reeds and light-green leaves in the center of the sandstone circle, spreading them out evenly and with thickness. Soon, he had created a large pile of dried, crackling tinder.

  3. Former leader of the Wilven Monks in Asulon, here. I played Monk Zachai.

Great to see someone taking care of this still. Freya and I created some events at the Asulon Cloud Temple a few times, it was fun.

Zachai has since passed away, but I am open to helping you out and/or getting monks organized again.

    My old credentials:

  4. Number of players in group: One

Names of group members: ((BGBuster)) as Alfiermollo

    Group leader's Skype?: Drakinroth

Are there any specific magics/items you want to discuss before getting into the dungeon to see what's allowed: Dagger, two candles and a small jar of wax, a feather, three small loaves of bread, and more. Just, simple household items.

The cuts were a bit jarring in places, but overall, very informative and interesting. Your voice acting and the diversity within it is rather impressive. You should definitely keep making these since a lot of aspects of the server get little publicity. Anything that helps the world feel more alive should be endorsed and promoted by the staff.

Thanks for the feedback, it means a lot!

  6. In my opinion, we should have one fast travel per island. More can possibly be added with the rise of more popular nations, but with how small our playerbase generally is, one per island should be enough for us to walk to where we need to go, and RP along the way.

With the exception of Tahn. Tahn should probably have two fast travels, one on the east side and one on the west side.

    That's my opinion!

  7. Excellent. Love seeing this, and love the interaction/survey between staff and community.

I'm really looking forward to 5.0! And I'm also looking forward to how we'll develop it. This could most definitely become one of (if not) the greatest maps we've had on LotC. Just takes a lot of communication and awareness of the world and the community itself.

    Cheers ~

  8. Hey guys!

Here's the newest Lord of the Craft vlog.

    Hope you guys enjoy it.

Again, please feel free to leave comments or replies. Send me a message on the forum with any recent news you think would be great to see in the vlog, and I may put it in!

    Thanks so much.

  9. I don't have much of an opinion on the raiding rules, as I don't really participate in the part of the playerbase that raids (or is raided often).

I just voted for it to stay the same... But I don't want my uninformed vote to hinder an informed vote!

Maybe put an option for "Unaffiliated" or something? Us Unaffiliated peoples could just put for it to stay the same, but perhaps everyone who actually knows about raiding doesn't want that, if you know what I mean. Just a small point.

In my opinion, fast travel should be from island to island. It would be cool if there's a way for us to make boats/ships more interactive (boat "Monks", event team members that are dockworkers?).

I don't think there should be fast travel between any parts of the same island, unless perhaps it's literally on the other side of the island. We can promote "taxi" services, where characters with horses can rent out their horses to be used for travel?

I dunno. I think the main idea here is just to have more player interaction on roads and paths. As opposed to dozens of carts all gathered in one location that all lead to far away places. It just splits the playerbase; destroys the natural web-like network of interaction that would actually happen between cities with roads between them.

  10. Meditating upon a silent, windy hill, Brunhyldir seems fairly occupied in his dreamworld. He is awoken suddenly by a fierce slap to the face.

    *thwak!*

After a moment of confusion, Brunhyldir opens his weary eyes, seeing no figure or animal around him. The hill is as silent as it was when he had begun meditating.

Looking down in his lap, however, the orc notices an odd slab of leather hide. He hadn't brought that with him! Brunhyldir flips the leather hide over, and on the back is an ad for a group of Olog mercenaries. It must have drifted with the wind, Brunhyldir thinks.

After reading through the notice, Brunhyldir chuckles to himself, smiling. His weary eyes begin to close again.

"This is not the time," he murmurs. "But I will remember this."

He takes the leather advertisement and tucks it into his knapsack.

The Shaman's eyes close again, the peace of the hill returning into his mind.

Heck! Did you make all that music yourself? If so, what do you use?

No, I didn't make all of it. Most of it is royalty-free music I found (you can see the credits in the description). The intro music for the vlog and the outro music was made by me, though, using GarageBand!

  12. Heya guys, this is BGBuster.

I've revamped the Lord of the Craft Vlog, after a long nine months!

Thank you guys for your support, and please leave comments and feedback below.

Slowly but surely, the Seven Skies is coming along. With the summer season now in full swing, I finally have time to do things!

I'll let the video explain the changes that I've made and how things are going.

If you would be interested in developing the Seven Skies along with me, send me a message here on the forums. Depending on how many people are interested, I may find a way to make it a more open project.

    Thank you guys for following.

    Zac
