  1. Good idea, i'd love to know where the shops are. I only know of like 2 or 3 in every city, most are usually empty (that use the shop plugin) and the normally staffed ones never have anyone there, even though they have 'Shop is open if torch is lit' signs on them, which are lit.
  2. Dem not just excellent prices, they stealin prices. I had to resist the urge to buy them all when I seen like 50 of each FOR 50. I left some in case the other woodcutters needed, but still took 'bout half a dozen fer me.
  3. Yahg's is one of only two shops that usually has diamonds for sale, as such it gets my thumb's up of approval. It's located in lower Sanhar, which is an orcish settlement a bit outside their main city. Bang a right at the harvest outpost on the way to oren, and up a small mountain is the entrance to orcish territory. Yahg's also sells some things at what i'd consider a very low price. I try to spend all my spare money there because of this.
  4. I've only found one shop buying iron, and they tend to pay like 15-25 a piece, but then turn around and sell them for 50-70. It's not my intentions to feed a reseller, but it would be nice to find a shop buying normal everyday stuff, like food or building supplies or armor or whatever.
  5. Who is this random person? First you put up idiot signs all over the place, then I tell you in game what's up, and now you're trolling the forums? Stop your lying. There was no shop anywhere at all near there. Some idjit (I can only assume it was you judging by your behavior) slapped a building up not 15 blocks from an established inn, right off the water, then I guess started tunneling a bunch of stuff around. I can tell because there's an underwater entrance to your little house that glows at night, and the upper floors exist but have no access point to them. I've only removed one structure in my whole time here, and that's when someone built a simple 2 story house, with no identifying markers, right next to my place. 3 days later my secret buried chest was looted, and I found a 2 block tall, 1 block wide path, leading a short ways away, then straight up into this house. Whomever owns that house obviously x-rayed my chest, and tunneled directly down to it.... Are you claiming to have done that? Is this offending 'house' i removed whose tunnels I had to close down to keep random monsters spawning underground your 'shop' that you keep b!tching about? I believe you owe me a quantity of diamonds, along with iron and glowstone, since you seem to be claiming ownership of a building that was seemingly erected for the sole purpose of digging up a supremely hidden box out of a floor in the middle of nowhere and looting it. I eagerly await YOUR ALL CAPS RESPONSE THAT MAKES LITTLE TO NO SENSE WITH EXCESSIVE PUNCTUATION ?!?!??!???!?!?!?!??!?!?!?!???!?????!?!??!?!?!?!???!?!!!!!!!!!!???????????!!!!!!!!!!??????????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????????????
  6. Just thought i'd leave a note here. Business has been lackluster, not amazing, but not bad either. Anyway, inventory has been expanded. We now stock dirt, cobblestone, stone, mossy stone, sand, glass, gravel, and other such building materials. Feel free to drop in at anytime!
  7. I'm curious. So far i've only found like half a dozen shops. Most of them sold/bought nothing. Most of them sell iron and buy it for like 1/2 the selling price. I found one shop that bought bread (for about 1/4 what they sold it for) and I sold them some, but a couple days later they stopped buying that too. Are there any shops that buy wood, dirt, cobblestone, sand, sandstone, bread, pork, etc. etc. etc. ? Or would nobody waste their money on that since they can just go out and find some? Sure would be nice to find a shop buying some stuff, so I could make money as a merchant selling to business instead of trying to hunt down individual customers.
  8. Heh, prices are better than mine. I remember finding some shop that was BUYING wool for 10m a pop,so that's what I started charging. This guy could make a killing if he could find the place.
  9. Only a couple things... 1: Don't make every hoe into a wand or staff. Some people still farm and it would be impossible to till soil. 2: I'd like to see some esoteric spells, maybe even ones for certain skill levels. Like instead of blasts xxx area for x hearts in damage over x damage ticks, how about we get some other kind of magic? A featherfall magic, makes you fall at chicken speed for a certain time (Letting you say, dive off a cliff to escape an aggressor without it just being suicide). Perhaps a 'seed storm' spell, where a weed mage conjures winds to disperse and plant seeds, and it'll act as a seed plant in any fertile fields, but it can radiate out from the caster for so many spaces, and each area seeded takes extra seeds (instead of one), since the storm basicly blows them in all directions, even though it covers a distance. Maybe some kind of silence spell, or a null magic zone. The silence would stop others from casting, but a null magic zone would stop ALL magic (even the creators) from happening inside that field. Perhaps some kind of wither spell which would turn grass into sand, stone into cobblestone, wood into.... actually, nah, scrap this idea. But maybe some of the other ones could work out.
  10. So I went with this name, since my instructor told me "The Something's Something is a catchy shop name, use it to attract business". I picked this over "The Blade's Edge" "The Demon's Eye" "The Rose's Thorn" "The Wanderer's Shop" "The Gargoyle's Horn" etc. etc. Anyway, about the shop. We plan on selling a variety of tasty fruits and animals to eat. We also have gear. It was the intention of this shop that anyone could pop by, and with a few minas, buy some stuff to get them started (like stone gear), or something to keep them going (like food or defence items). There may also be a backroom selling... questionable objects, but this is not something to discuss in an advert for the place! We'll also be selling some limited construction items, but with rack space limited, the initial opening won't have tons of stone and dark wood for sale, but we will have some! We're also selling bows and ammunition as well as leathers for aspiring archers. Prices may seem a little high or a little low to begin, but that's just because the management hasn't seen many shops, and so doesn't have a pricing market to go on. If you find something costing too much (or too little and you don't just snap it all up to resell), please contact the general manager, Trazier. He will attempt to fix the issue. You may also contact him for bulk transactions, or to request a product or availability. He's also in charge of buying items. Right now the shop is interested in purchasing new chainmail, and glowstone dust/bricks. Contact us with your prices and maybe we can work something out. The Jackal's Paw is located between the whispering isles and kramoroe, just off the king's road, near the.... well, near the former location of the casino, which is being demolished at present, convenient location right up the road from Ark's Rest, the local free inn. Come visit us sometime!
  11. How much are these houses and plots going for? I drifted by there earlier and saw someone building a giant underwater glass covered torch filled abomination and i kinda started swimming back the other way.
  12. So the custom skins section of the website seems to be... non existant. I had to browse around and look for a generic skin that seemed to match the theme of this place, as I noticed a lot of others have been doing.... So, here it is again. ********************************************************* Out-Of-Character: -Minecraft Account Name:Trazier -How old are you?:Aged 3 decades, like a fine wine. -Time-Zone/Country of Residence:Eastern standard time -Do you have a good grip on the English language/good grammar?:I would say that I do. -Small 2-3 Sentence Description of yourself:Lifetime gamer. Somewhat.... addicted. Love the rush of winning a card hand, or winning an in game fight or a team conquering another team in a large scale battle. -How much time could you be on the server weekly?:A lot. Probably several hours a day to start, but once I settle down a bit, probably a few hours every day or so, with the ability to crack out for 5+ hours a couple days a week if I want. -How long have you played minecraft?:I literally bought the game 3 days ago, jumped on a friend's private server after seeing him show me the game when I was over his house. Cut down a tree, made a house, played for 4 hours straight, and built a little fortress, had a blast. -What do you know about roleplaying?:More than your average bear. I've done tabletop RP, RP enforced online MUDs (Gemstone/Dragonrealms/Federation), suffice to say I can act the part. -What do you expect this server will be like?:Up a lot, hopefully. I expect it should test the limits of a minecraft server, and wonder if large scale pvp battles between warring nations would either crash the place or be an epic event. I'm envisioning a lot of creative folk building here too. -What other server(s) have you played on and why did you leave them?:None really. I saw one that looked interesting, made a big application thing (but that was just to start building, wasn't RP centric like this), but got impatient wanting to start building in a world with other people, they had 9 online. -Have you read, understood, and agreed to the rules?:Yup -Name the 4 races on this server:Orcs, Humans, Dwarves, Elves -How did you hear about us?:Spent about 10 minutes in a 'minecraft public server' google. -What is your The Lord Of Craft forum account name?:Trazier (see a theme?) In-Character: -Character Name: Trazier -What is your Race?:Human -Biography:Trazier comes from a small and semi-respected human family, but as a person himself, little information is volunteered willingly. He seems to be paranoid for some reason about the intentions of others. Rumor persists his family's wealth came from a lucky mining expedition his father was a part of, but even more speculate on the death of the man not two years after his sudden good fortune decided to take a sour turn. Trazier dropped out of an apprenticeship with a local blacksmith upon his father's death and decided to begin planning for the day "They" came for him, vowing to be better prepared than his old man was. -Character Age:Fifteen (and a third if you really cared) -Character Appearance:Fairly average and unassuming, brown hair and not too tall or scrawny. (still new to MC textures, will figure those out when i'm waiting for this app to go through, likely to just get a generic human skin from the archive and play with that) -Character Personality: Loving and cheerful turned paranoid and mistrustful. Some echoes of the past show up around trusted friends and family, but encounters with those are rare. -Your ambitions: Earn lots of money like father. Try to do it alone instead of with partners who might stab you in the back, allegedly, when they blew through their split of the haul. If not able to do it alone, hire sufficient muscle to keep the enemies away. -Can your character read or write?: Read yes, but write, not so much so due to a lack of focus. Annoyed at the fact he can read 5-10 times faster than he can write, he fell out of practice and now has to focus to even sign his name. -Can your character mine?: Yes, family tradition and all that. -Are you a capable builder?: I'm working on becoming one! The intricate nature of the devices in this world intruige me, when they're so shockingly simple to begin with. -Can you wield a sword?: Yup, but in a pinch, a pick axe at high velocity can work just as good. -Enjoy Farming?: Sure helps keep food on the table during winter! -Does your character have any special skills?: Cold Logic: able to ponder a problem and come out with an answer that will either fix the problem, or fail it in such a way as to leave open the possibility of trying another option. Honesty: Trazier's always kept his word and his honor. This puts him in the ridiculous position of being trusted when he says he'll do something, but never being able to trust someone else when they do likewise, as he's seen so many cheats and liars. -A screenshot of your skin: Don't have one specific right now, to start it'll just be a human one from the skin files kept on the site. -Other Information:Long winded sometimes, like to tell tales at other times. Figure it's better than 'hai guyz kan i play heeeeeeeeere????' P.S. I got a 404 not found when I clicked the links to the skin packages. Can anyone explain the acquiring of and installing of the skins you require here?
